Not bad, but not great

Not being familiar with the area, we were looking for a place for 4 adults to stay and explore San Luis Obispo(20 min from house), and the Hearst Castle We didn't realize the house is situated in a neighborhood that consisted of RV campgrounds and that there would be campers parked on the beach for most of the day, with atv's and trucks driving up and down the beach even after dark. It wasn't a beach you could sit and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. The house itself had a general feeling of neglect. The carpet is matted down in the bedrooms and felt dirty even if it was clean. The lamination of the kitchen cabinets is peeling off and the address numbers to the left of the door were peeling or already fallen off. The Key pad for entry is a 10 digit sequence that we were only able to use successfully one time. We had to call Vacasa to get access to a key in a lock box to use through out the rest of our stay.Although I understand being on the beach, you are battling wind and sand constantly, the windows on the house were filthy and the plexiglass from the patio to the beach was also dirty (I'm sure there is no way to help that, but none of the neighboring properties had that barrier, and I assume have a better view of the water). Be sure you like a neighborhood of campers and convenience stores if you book this property.

Wedding Weekend - Honest Review

We enjoyed our time here. Overall, we had no complaints, but we have stayed in a lot of rentals and naturally compare the experience with our expectations. The space was clean. There were only a few minor downsides of our stay: the thin paper towels and toilet paper, the smell of the water (grassy, soil, fertile smell and the overwhelming peach smell from the plug-ins. .Also, we tried to go outside and relax on the patio, but the cushions on the chairs are so thin, they are uncomfortable.

Our 6 days vacation

We had to leave a day early because my daughter simply refused to sleep on her uncomfortable bed for one more night. None of us slept well because the beds and mattresses are so old and very uncomfortable. The entire house furniture looks like it came from various garage sales. In addition, there were no antibacterial wipes or soap or hand sanitizer anywhere (I thought it should be mandatory during Covid). There were barely any toilet paper and no Kleenex either. Also the check out time is at 10 am! That is very unusual! Finally, there were 4 beyond dirty garbage bins and we were confused with which ones we should use. To summarize, we felt that the owners’ primary focus is to save money and not to create comfortable and enjoyable experience for guests!

Funky cute beach cottage

Great little spot. Easy access to the beach with small dunes outside the backdoor for evening fires. Comfortable and clean. The second bedroom with the queen could use a little help. Master bed very comfortable. Prepare to wash down the back windows due to the sand and wind. They provide a squeegee. Our family had a wonderful time, beautiful sunsets. Thank you

Great Vacation Rental

This place is literally on the beach. Just open the back gate and you are there. The house was clean and very functional for a family of five. We walked on the beach each day and walked all the way to the Pismo Pier several times. The communication with Turn Key was exceptional. We are definitely going to stay here again.

Fun and great location

We loved the location! I wish the check-in had been earlier but we didn’t mind being at the beach until it was time. Overall a great experience and would definitely book the same house again but probably for a longer stay! Highly recommend TurnKey, they had a quick response time and were incredibly helpful!

Quarantined on the beach

We've spent spring break on Pismo beach for several years but our usual rental was unavailable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this time. The home was cozy and comfortable with great access to the beach. It was perfect!

Never again

No communication. Called, textted was hung up on twice. Didn't get proper key code till 930pm. Tried to check in at 3pm check in time. Very stressful had food sitting in car for hours. Waste of time . Very disappointed

Great Location/ Watch out for big brother

The locations was great, the house was nice, but if you want to be watched and told on by neighbors, this isn’t the place for you. We had people that came to the area ( on the public beach) for a small wedding ( on a public beach) and one of the neighbors thought we were having a party and decided to call the owner and tried to get us evicted. So we had to have an inspection done on the house to make sure we were trustworthy. Then later that night when we are trying to relax (on a public beach). One of the neighbors was out again taking photos of us I would assume, and then running and hiding away in her hut.. to cowardly .. she must have been bullied as a child. Regardless we will not be using this service again, and I would suggest others to as well.

Great house and location!

Perfect little getaway. Wonderful location with beautiful views. Clean and comfortable home with a lovely kitchen to cook in. Close to ATV rental, firewood and a dinner with great food. Beach access right out your backdoor. Euler private and comfortable. Would absolutely book this house again.

Beach House

Wonderful property right on the beach. Great entertainment watching traffic on the sand highway and impressed by the considerate help folks gave to those who got stuck. Enjoyed riding the dunes in the day and relaxing by beach fire at night. House was very clean and well stocked. Highly recommend this property.

Nice property, well equipped and on the dunes/beach but the description could be better at describing the "traffic" across the beach. Biggest improvement needed is shade on the deck. Worked well for our group of four for the most part.
