The photos shown in Expedia looked nothing like the room we actually stayed in. There was also a hidden charge the hotel charged me and when I called to ask about it, they told me to contact Expedia and when I called Expedia, they told me to call the hotel. A classic bait and switch deal.

"This is an older hotel but the location here is great, the view of the bay was everything, the sunset and the relaxed vibe. I’d stay here again just to have breakfast overlooking the water and sit by the fireplace in the evening- would have been perfect with a live band I guess we missed out. "

Regarding the authorization, while I understand the internal explanation involving system shares and third-party billing structures, an authorization for the full room and tax amount—when the stay was already prepaid—creates unnecessary financial strain and inconvenience. Even if the amount does not ultimately post, an improper authorization can: • Temporarily reduce available credit or accessible funds • Trigger overdraft or over-limit fees • Interfere with other pending financial obligations • Cause reputational or credit-related complications in certain circumstances It is important to note that unauthorized or improperly processed charges, even if temporary, may carry legal implications depending on their impact and duration.
