Nice motel and conveniently located

Nice, comfortable motel right on the water. The owners are super friendly people and very helpful.

Loved the view of the water

Pros: Flowers, water view and friendly staff. Walking distance to restaurants and the ocean
Cons: The roadside view could be improved because it does not do the motel justice
Location: We walked to Flo's Restaurant for dinner, Atlantic Grille for breakfast and to the ocean for a relaxing cup of coffee. Also very close to 2nd beach
My daughter and I only booked 1 night because we had reservations at another hotel for Saturday and Sunday. I am so sorry we did not book the Sea Whale for the entire weekend. The view from the road side is very deceiving. The back of the motel is so cozy with beautiful hanging baskets, and other flowers galore. There is a nice grassy area with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs with a beautiful view of a body of water. Lovely staff. Will definitely try to stay there if we return to Newport. Also walking distance to 3 restaurants.

Great spot close to beach & fantastic food & shops

We booked Sea Whale for one night, but when we pulled in the scenery was so beautiful we checked in & booked a second night on spot. The motel is owned by a lovely couple who were super helpful & knowledgeable about the area. The beach is a mere 5 minute walk and the famous cliff walk is only 2 minutes up from the beach. Amazing views & the beach has lovely soft sand. The food in the immediate area was great, and of course Newport (a 5 minute drive) has fabulous food & shops. Sea Whale rooms were very clean, perfectly situated on the Newport Bay, sunsets to die for. Highly recommend & we are already planning a return trip this summer.
