1 stop from Grand Central. No attendant hotel, you need pin code to enter the property and use the elevator. Pin code is provided 1 day before check in but we never got it. We had to call the hotel and was ok after that. Ask also about wifi password. Except for check in issue, great hotel to explore NYC.

I am writing regarding my stay last night and the significant issues I experienced during check-in. Prior to arrival, I was informed that access codes would be shared 24 hours before arrival per your policy. However, a few hours before check-in, I was told that the codes would instead be sent once I arrived. I was approved for early check-in at 3:00 PM (standard check-in being 4:00 PM), and I arrived at approximately 3:15 PM. When I received the access code and entered the room, I discovered that it had not been cleaned and appeared to have just been used by a previous guest. I immediately contacted guest services and was told to wait 30–40 minutes while they reached out to the hotel regarding cleaning. Fortunately, I encountered a staff member in the building who provided us with a different room and new access code. However, the new code did not work for the building entrance or elevator. I was locked outside for approximately 10 minutes attempting to contact guest services before another guest entered the building, allowing me to get inside. Although I arrived at 3:15 PM, I did not successfully access a usable room until approximately 4:30 PM. The entire process was stressful, inconvenient, and disappointing, especially after receiving confirmation of early check-in. I wanted to bring this to your attention, as I hope future guests will not encounter similar issues. I trust that this feedback will be taken seriously.

Overall, the stay was comfortable and the place was clean and quiet. The location was convenient, and check-in was easy. However, a few basic items were missing, such as toilet paper and a sponge for cleaning, which made the stay a bit inconvenient. With better attention to these small essentials, the experience would be much improved nice place like that

I'll split my review into two parts - the property itself, and the service and check in process. It is a former Sonder property (Sonder infamously went bust in Nov 2025). I've stayed at Sonder before, always enjoyed it, and this one is among the top end of my stays. The entire apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, and spare towels that should last for a long term stay. It is good to see that such a nice property is being made available again for short term stays. On the other hand, the new management company (Bellevue District 6, seems to be part of OYO) needs to put more emphasis on providing a smooth guest experience. I had problems with check in (two different room numbers and two different codes provided, one via phone, the other via Expedia message), neither of which worked. Having called again, I was told that one of the codes is correct but to a third room. All good from there until the third day when the code stopped working and I again had to call and wait for a callback to fix the code. I saw other people also trying their codes on seemingly wrong rooms, or on the phone in the lobby to get access codes sorted. It's a great property, but since there is no front desk, the online communication with guests and providing timely and correct check in instructions should be the highest priority. Sadly there's quite some way to go for the new management to get it properly working. Hopefully it's just initial growing pains.

Room was really clean, amenities were nice and neat. Very satisfactory, but the only thing is I had to kinda harass the property number for my access code multiple times. If I didn’t do that I wouldn’t have gotten the access code and would’ve been freezing outside until they reach back time.

It’s actually very beautiful, but unfortunately I had a situation with one of the employees. My check-in time was at 3:00 (between 3:00 and 3:30), and I never received an email explaining anything. I had to call in order to get my code and room number. Also, at 4:44, I was about to take a shower when an employee entered the room saying “hello, hello,” when she should have knocked and made sure first. I was literally about to shower. When she realized someone was inside, she said “sorry, sorry,” but I don’t understand why that happened if it was already past check-in time. Other than that, everything was fine. The employee was not rude, she seemed nervous, but I believe this situation should have been handled before 4:00

The check-in process was frustrating and unnecessarily stressful. The listing stated that check-in details would be sent by email 72 hours before arrival, but I never received anything. There was no front desk and no clear way to contact the property directly, so I had to reach out to Expedia for help. Expedia could only confirm my booking and couldn’t provide access details. After being on hold with customer service for over 25 minutes, I was finally able to get through to the property, and I didn’t receive my check-in information until about two hours before check-in, which was extremely inconvenient. That said, once I was finally inside, the room itself was great and honestly felt like a tiny apartment. The maintenance staff runs a tight ship and keeps everything super clean and well organized, which I really appreciated.
