Great Hotel

Pros: Everything.
Everything about the Sheraton was great. the hotel was very nice, clean, & updated. All of the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. It is located in a great location, walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, and a number of good restaurants, as well as several subway stations. We would definitely stay there again.

Mattress

I'm a longtime booster for Starwood and even own a heavenly bed. My 3rd one. This mattress was unbearable. To the point I considered sleeping on the floor. I have stayed at other Sheratons and do not remember this being an issue. Location and overall hotel were exceptional. Convenient to everything but not in the hyper - bustle of Time Square.

Disgustingly Dirty

Sheraton on Times Square-first thing you think of when you read about the hotel is "luxury and amazing views." The only thing good about this hotel was the location and the people who work there. Everything else was last updated decades ago when this hotel was built. When you enter the hotel through their parking lot (which you will pay a $65 fee for) you are greeted by a terrible third party parking authority and tons of people waiting for only ONE old elevator to bring their car down from wherever it's parked. We didn't pay too much attention to it and decided to proceed with paying. From then on everything was just as bad! The old elevators felt like they will break down any minute now and the amount of people waiting to get on and off was insane because of some "convenient" technology they installed. Our rooms were the worst part of it. The carpet that hasn't been changed since the beginning of times seemed so engulfed in decades of dirt that we were scared to walk on it in our shoes. We opened the windows to see the great NYC but we couldn't see anything because of a layer of dirt accumulated on the windows. The dust all over the room was terrible and the cleanliness of the bathroom was minimal. Thinking about this hotel raises my blood pressure up. I would not recommend it to anyone

Lousy room, great location.

The location is great. The room was in poor condition. The furniture was old and very worn. The bedding had tears. The bathroom was terrible. It smelled of mildew. There was black mold in the sink and on the shower tiles. There were marks left from a glass on the countertop. Parking was $67, without in and out privileges, for a 24 hour period. It took 29 minutes for the attendant to retrieve the car. I have stayed at this hotel a handful of times in the past, but probably won't stay again.

Great location.

Great location for a visit to NYC. Subway very close. The Hotel room service could be better. We found a pair of boxers on the floor under the dresser and the couple that traveled with us found food stored in the in room refrigerator. Minor things was our second stay at this location and will return when in NYC.

NYC trip

We travel a lot with two little kids and this is the firs time in this Sheraton location. There is a mini bar refrigerator how ever we needed an empty one for our one year and three year old. They did charge us 35$ to use another refrigerator which i thought was just crazy since we were already paying a lot for the room...it took us two days to get someone to close the candy bar since my kids kept going for them...

Nice hotel. Close to all the action and subway.

Pros: The staff and how clean it was.
Cons: Your prices on breakfast!
Location: You are in the heart of it all here :)
The staff here are what makes the place. Very clean and beautiful hotel. Rooms are a little small but, thats to be expected in NYC. We loved the place and will return. Only negative is the breakfast. The price for 2 for the buffet was insane! $90 for two people!! The buffet had everything I'm used to eating in a standard hotel with FREE continental breakfast! I would save your money and go anywhere else for breakfast.
