Room was clean, but VERY small. Hotel itself was nice. Nothing extraordinary. Location was great if you are wanting to be Central Park area.

Great location

While the decor in the hallways was a little institutional feeling, the room (deluxe double) was comfortable and a decent size - especially for NYC. And the common areas were well decorated.

Hudson Hotel New York

Pros: Location is great. The lobby is nice.
Cons: Should improve the cleanliness
Location: 2 blocks from the central Park were you can do a lot of outdoor activities. One block from Columbus Circle Mall. Four blocks from fifth avenue.
The Hotel has a good location an good environment.Near from the Central Park, Columbus Circle. Personnel is nice. Rooms are small and bathrooms very small. They charge you $35 for resort fee per day. I asked what was included on the resort fee, the told me: In room internet (so internet is not included in the room charge), a cocktail, that we never received and access to the gym. Food is regular and expensive.

Nice hotel, convenient location, pleasant staff.

Pros: Staff very pleasant; its cozy environment and cleanliness; its mid-town location.
Location: Central Park, subways, buses, shops and restaurants are all in the area.
Hotel is very conveniently located, offers ease when checking-in and a pleasant environment. Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable after experiencing a little stumble with room, on first day: Window in the room was drafty on a very cold day; water spilled onto bathroom floor when taking showers; wall radiator heater in bathroom - heating too intense. Situation was immediately remedied by hotel staff switching us to another room.

Great Location

Pros: very social, friendly and upbeat hotel
Cons: Explanations on additional fees upon check out
Location: Central Park only 2 blocks away!!!!!
The location of the Hudson was great, close to everything that I had on my list of places to be around and see. The staff was great and super helpful on everything. Really came through with the accommodations that I had requested. Only issue I had was upon check out. I believed that I had prepaid for the entire stay when booked on the travel site with what my charges were. Upon check out, I was advised that I owed an additional amount for Facility Fee's (which I did not use any listed) I think that this should be stated clearly when making the reservation initially. Other than that, I recommend the Hudson to anyone whom is traveling alone or maybe with one other person. The rooms are quite small, even for the Superior with a King bed.

I wouldn't let my husband's ex wife stay here.

Pros: Very little. The room we were finally given was nice and it was quiet.
Cons: The front desk personnel were rude and need a lesson in customer satisfaction and courtesy.
Location: Close to Central Park
We arrived at the Hudson to find out our room with two double beds was not available. I had called two weeks prior and made sure we had two beds but apparently it was requested but not guaranteed. The manager said for $150 I could upgrade to a suite. I had no choice. The heat was so loud in the room that we had to sleep with the heat turned off just to get some sleep. Needless to say, we were literally frozen by the next day For an additional $60 I had us moved to a two bedroom the next day. When we went to our "new" room we were greeted by another guest who already had that room. We went back to the desk and were given two free drinks for our trouble and then assigned to another "new" room with no one else in it. This "paid in full" weekend cost me $300 (including tax, fees, and upgrades) at the Hudson. At one point I had to ask the manager to quiet down and tell her my hearing was just fine. Never again.

Great place to stay, close to Central Park

Pros: Close to Central Park
Cons: Better paint on hallways
Location: Central Park, Times Square, Subway system, Great shopping and restaurants.
I think the hallways could have better paint, other than that the place is great value for the money.
