Hotel needs a deep cleaning.

I understand that this hotel is old but that doesn't mean that it has to be dusty and moldy. The staff only vacuums areas that people walk the most through Also, the place is falling apart and it smells like cigarette on the whole 7th floor(although I requested a No smoking room). Don't stay on the 7th Floor!!!! We asked for extra pillows and it took them 24hrs and 5 calls to the main desk. Reality is that they have No hotel service here. They reply to people's horrible comments on the ratings but that doesn't mean anything. Last, my husband and I just crossed our fingers and hoped we wouldn't catch anything in our hotel room.

Left immediately and was still charged for 2 night

Don't go there. Absolutely disgusting! Believe the reviews it's that bad.

Just Ok

Room smelt, shower mildew and needed a good cleaning. Location to sights , subways and restaurants was very convenient

This is the worse room I've ever stayed. Small like a closet and vexreneky outdated. Definitely overpriced.

Bed bugs and projective brown water coming from the shower. Travelocity should remove them immediately!

Like everyone else, only good thing is location.

Pros: Location only.But I rather and will pay more somewhere else for something better.
Cons: Everything!
Location: Right across from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.
I usually check reviews before making a reservation but didn't this time. I will from now on. 45 minutes to check in. Yes they have terminals for express check in but that is good only if you book directly with the hotel. The woman that checked us in was very nice. But since I had 45 minutes to wait and observe, the other clerk that was there was pretty nasty. She talked down to guests like they were stupid. Coming out of the elevator,the hall was very depressing. Room was small but that didn't bother us. Bathroom door with excessive peeling paint. Marks on the walls. Bed creaked with every move. Plus you could feel the springs in your back. Very thin pillows and no extras. Went to complete the envelope for check out, then realize they didn't even have a pen or pad in the room. Only one straight back chair to sit in at the desk. The room was gloomy and no I can't say that it was dirty but it gave you the impression that it was. I am not sure if the restaurant is actually part of Hotel Pennsylvania, but if it is, it didn't impress us much. We just stopped in for a couple of drinks after the show, and sat at the bar. The bartender and wait staff were friendly at first, but after about 10 minutes sitting there the wait staff would come over to the bartender and complain about some of the customers they were serving and use the F word back-and-forth amongst all of them about the customers . Very unprofessional.

When a period of time is being booked, I think that you should make the booker aware of any difference in price for any of the days booked.

Location is Good, thats about it

Pros: Location.
Cons: Everything. Seriously, at least give free wifi.
This hotel is located in an excellent area, with quick access to most NYC subways. But thats about it. The rooms are old and small. The air was not working. No free wifi and cell phone signal is barely usable while in the hotel. The cheking/checkout line was hour long wait. Not to mention you have to pay to have them hold your luggage on the day you check out, which you have to pay for in that hour long line. Because of this I walked around on my last day with luggage in toll, I wouldn't have minded paying the extra fee, but not having to wait hours in the line.
