Got to hotel about 3:30pm and though check in was 3:00 was told room not ready for 45 min as they were still cleaning it. I had booked two rooms so at least we could put our stuff in other room family was staying in. Had to head to dinner early due to event we were going to - they said they'd call cell when room was ready. Did not get call until almost 6:00. very busy at check in and only one person at desk. Rooms were very nice - modern and clean, shower was great and bed was extremely comfortable. We had suite and my daughter slept on pull out which she said was very comfortable as well and all sheets and blankets were in room for pull out which often find not the case and have to call down for. Very disappointed in breakfast - had seen very good reviews but potatoes were cold, no bagels or muffins and everything else just OK. Omelet station may have been good, not sure as there was a 20 minute wait for that so we did not try. Overall just ok and with number of hotels in the area not sure I'd be in hurry to go back.

Staff was very nice and the hotel grounds were nice. Rome was spacious and comfortable but the room had a stale water smell all throughout my stay. There was also what looked like mold above the shower. Wasn’t worth mentioning during my stay since it was short term but those were the only negatives i experienced.

Yearly November Visit

Every year we stay at the Hyatt Shelton and every year it never disappoints! Excellent service, staff and the room is awesome!

Nice place but intrusive staff.

Location: Great location.
Everything was fine here except on the last day. Normal checkout is at 12 pm. We requested and received a late check out for 1 pm but for whatever reason(s), the hotel staff open our door well before twelve asking me if I was checking out. We had the usual do not disturb sign on the outside doorknob but they ignored it. Very strange why they would do that. They can at the very least use a phone and call before intruding. Don't think I will stay here again if that is how they treat guests.
