I booked this hotel on March 3, and a day before my arrival on Mother’s Day weekend (May 9th) they cancelled my reservation stating they were going through renovations. My brother got to the hotel before me for check in and that’s when we found out they had sent a message through the Expedia app the night before. The hotel was not closed, they had other guests staying and checking in but somehow they decided we were not. Still expecting a call from the manager with some kind of apology. I had to take the next available hotel in the area and pay for that stay while they processed my refund. Imagine other hotels were sold out or I did not have the means to pay for another stay? Completely unacceptable.

The property was just so-so. Felt somewhat dated and in need of renovations. Broken toilet seat cover and poor lighting. The lobby and common areas were very nice, but the rooms need a refit.

The signs say they are embarking on a major rennovation, so I'll give them some grace. That said, the staff could not have been friendlier -- extremely nice and welcoming. The room was way past needing a major upgrade. No soap at the sink to wash your hands -- had to use the shower gel for that! No option on the TV for Netflix or other subscription, and limited channels. The heat/AC was hard to conrol. Breakfast was convenient but just average for these types of places. Looking forward to the upgrade -- it really needs it!!

The management of this hotel is getting worse than last time we stayed. Especially the house keeping ladies, we have a room right next to elevators where is already noisy, but sometimes there were a group of cleaning ladies sitting and chatting loudly in the elevator area when they were resting. Also on the last day of our stay, the check out time should be 12pm, but on 11:15am, the housekeeping lady knocked our door and see if we checked out or not. I think they should check with the front desk to make sure if we had checked out first, instead of knocking our door to disturb us, and we felt we were rushed out.
