Great location for the beach and inlet, especially if you are avoiding the crowd.We were surprised that the downstairs rooms were only accessible outside, that wasn't made clear, but it worked out fine. Also, tons of red ants around the pool and spiders in the laundry room. We called maintenance about the ants but I don't think they showed up at all.

Great Family Beach VAcation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Other than some initial frustration with getting the entry code straightened out, we had a great week at Beachside Windy Hill. This is why the check in got a 4star and not a 5star. Thankfully, the second person I talked to got the matter straightened out quickly. This is the second time we've stayed at the house. It is exactly what I like in a beach house...nothing overly fancy or overdone. Clean and "beachy". The public beach path is right across the street, and the private pool is the icing on the cake. My only suggestion for the owner/rental company is to have an electric leaf blower or something to keep the sand out of the lower sitting area so it doesn't get tracked around too much. The family is already planning a return trip next year.

The only thing I would do different would be the check in experience . I would make sure each house had a key code to enter and not just a Key. We have stayed at other rental properties before and the key code was emailed to us and we didn’t have to stop at the realty company. Other than that, a five star recommendation from our family. It was awesome!

Simply put...........AMAZING

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house for my daughters beach wedding. It couldn't have been any more perfect. We actually had the reception in the driveway. shout out to Barefoot Wedded Bliss for complete set up. The rest of week was spent with family. The rest of week was spent with family. Eight adults. one teenager and two children. The house has everything that is needed. The outdoor grill was all that and some. I cooked 8 steaks, 2 racks of ribs, 8 lobsters, 3 pounds of crab legs and 8 potatoes on it and had room for more. Plenty of room in side house for us all. The pool and hot tub just steps away. The water in both was perfect. We all just had a wonderful time. I also would like to thank Pam for helping me out tremendously with check in. Thank you so much Pam!

The house was beautiful as was the pool. The bathrooms are very small, though, and the towel packages need to have 2 bath towels and 2 washcloths for a week, not one washcloth. The bedsheets were ill-fitting and rough. The sheets for the bottom bunk weren't even the right size! Besides those small issues, there were a couple that really irked us. The pool needed cleaned when we arrived and all the pool guy did was net the leaves and bugs on the top. Not good enough. We didn't even let our granddaughter play in the kiddie pool because it was filthy. They both needed vacuumed and that never happened in the week we were there. We were told by GCR that nothing could be done until our pool was "scheduled" to be cleaned. The pool was cold, so we asked on Tuesday morning for it to be heated. The maintenance guy came out, discovered he could not unlock the padlock to the pool equipment and said the pool guy would have to do it. Someone came out Wednesday sometime and turned it on. The charge for heating the pool is 250.00 for a week. We got 2 1/2 days and were refused a discount on that fee, which was BS! Lastly, it was Mustang Week and there were several of them around our property. These were mostly teenagers, so we were awoken EVERY night by revving loud engines and squalling tires and we were tired every morning because of them. No cops, nothing was done. The house was tastefully decorated and the area was beautiful!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: HOUSE: The house was perfect for our family-4 adults and 2 kids. The owner paid attention to details -hooks for hanging towels, bathing suits... dressers, ottomans for storage, the kitchen was fully stocked and the location was ideal for the beach! Having access to the closet downstairs was an ideal storage place and having a 2nd fridge was a necessity for us. There were plenty of chairs on the porches to sit and enjoy the scenery. Pool and seating area was perfect! CLEAN:The house was not cleaned and didn't even smell clean-kitchen was swept and dirt/sand was left in the kitchen corner, bedrooms weren't vacuumed as there was candy paper on the floor, kitchen counters and sinks were dirty when WE cleaned them, floors had not been mopped and there was a Swiss Cake Roll wrapper left in the bed. Downstairs, there was dirt on the floors, small rugs were full of dirt and sand, water bottle behind the bed, furniture was dusty, floors not mopped. Pool was cleaned ONCE and I was told two different times by company and by pool guy it would be cleaned 3 times while we were there. It wasn't. Not being cleaned and disinfected was a huge disappointment, especially during a pandemic!

Reviewer Comments: My family were nervous if the effects a tropical storm, just days before the families' yearly schedule arrival on Saturday may be cancel or cause a delay in having the rental ready. We were grateful the there was only minor flooding and little damage to the area that did not affect a great week at the beach. The rental ready on time and in very good condition with no issues. My family has have returned, every year since the 90s to a Garden City location and loved visiting this area every time.

The front porch was large and always had a perfect breeze. The front yard was big enough for us to play yard games and the pool area was fantastic. Driveway offered plenty of parking for all 3 of our large vehicles. We would 100% stay here again and again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This is the cleanest beach house we have ever stayed in. The porches are fabulous, with plenty of shade and rocking chairs. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub daily. The close proximity of beach access makes it easy to go on the beach daily. The outdoor toilet is fantastic as it eliminates tracking in and out while wet. We love this house!

The house was very very clean and the pool was serviced while we ere there on a regular basis. The only problem we had was the trash pick up was not done all week. Had to let Garden City Realty know and then they sent an employee out to flag down trash truck to make sure they got it.
