friendly staffs

Due to a booking mistake, I ended up staying in a room with a shared bathroom. The room itself was clean, but it was quite small, and the window-style air conditioner was installed right next to the bed, which made it very noisy and difficult to sleep. It was also directed toward the wall near the sink, so the room didn’t get cool at all. Because of the heat and noise, I couldn’t sleep until around 4 a.m. Even though the window couldn’t be opened, there were still a few bugs in the room. However, the staff was kind and helpful—they provided me with something to catch the bugs, although it wasn’t a spray. I was quite concerned about using a shared bathroom, but thankfully it was always very clean. The staff was very friendly, and the location was excellent. Despite that, the noise and heat made my stay quite difficult.

The washroom and rooms are ok. They are clean. However I booked a basic room with a private washroom and stayed overnight night on July 14. The air conditioner doesn't work after I used the hair dryer, so we were moved to another room which has shared washroom. I am not very satisfied with the staff on that night because she didn't move us to another room which has private washroom as I booked. And the pillows in new rooms have some blood inside. Hopefully the boss will see my review and they will offer better substitutions in future for their customers.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, provided anything we asked for, including holding our luggage for no fee after our checkout. Area is walkable and central in Montreal. Rooms are intimate and decorated. Great stay!

Belle petite découverte comme Hôtel, à seulement 2 coins de rue de la place des spectacles. Tout ce fait à pied à partir de là sinon, on est à quelques pas du métro. Dans mon cas, j’avais une chambre avec salle de bain, très propre. Pour les reviews qui se plaignent de l’itinérance, avant de laisser un mauvais avis, réaliser que vous êtes dans une ville avec un haut taux d’itinérance, sur une des rues les plus achalandées de Montréal… donc oui, il y en a mais à quoi vous vous attendiez? En tout cas, je mets cet Hôtel dans mes « favoris » sur Expedia.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. The hotel is in an older building but well maintained and very clean. It is about 15 minute walking distance from the old city with restaurants and evening entertainment in the area. If you’re driving by car, you have to pay for parking. Well worth the price.

When I checked in, the room was not clean. This was 4 PM , I was told it would be cleaned immediately. after several phone calls the room was cleaned by 6:30. This is unacceptable. They offered me no compensation. Also, the bathroom door locks on the outside , my daughter was locked in the bathroom for quite some time, she almost had to break the door . The latch on front door also did not work. The area around this place is littered with homeless people. Drug users, garbage, profanity, beggars, fights. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. ...begginstay clear place

This hotel is a cost effective option close to the sights in downtown Montréal. While this is not a ‘posh’ hotel, it is clean and secure, with staff friendly and keen to assist.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and had an amazing experience. The staff were exceptional—from the cleaners to the rotating receptionists, everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional. I arrived four hours early and was still allowed to check in, which made a great first impression. Throughout my stay, the receptionists were always attentive and ready to assist with anything I needed. My room on the 5th floor looked exactly like the photos—modern, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and housekeeping came every 2–3 days, always knocking first. You can decline cleaning or request it another day. Fresh towels, toiletries, and other essentials were provided upon request. A tip: keep a white light (like the bathroom light) on overnight, as insects are drawn to warm-toned lighting. The location is excellent. Saint-Laurent station is right around the corner, making it easy to get around. Berri-UQAM, about a 10-minute walk away, connects the green, orange, and yellow metro lines, making the whole city easily accessible. There’s a large mall just 4 minutes away, another one about 20 minutes away, and tons of food spots nearby, many open late. Chinatown is just an 8-minute walk. Local festivals are also common in the area—some noise, but I still slept well. Only downside: there are many homeless people around, especially near Chinatown. Most are harmless, but it’s something to be aware of. Overall, a fantastic stay. I’d definitely return.
