Another Vrbo disappointment!
My wife and I jus' can't seem to win with our Vrbo picks. Cozy place- yes, and when I say it had everything you can imagine, want and need - for the most part, it did.
For starters however, upon arrival - the funky door lock and forwarded code did not allow access. Thankfully, we were able to make a call to Vrbo and got the lockbox code (and door key) right at the time our call was lost You could have called back...but you didn't.
A lone portable roll-in window A.C. unit doesn't qualify for "central air" as noted in your posting...please be truthful and revise your listing. We called to complain about this and this was your solution? Gee...what room do I pick to receive cold air? The lake dock is a tripping hazard - gaps in the uneven/shaky boards, unstable and some of the sections are not properly attached and loose...it's a matter of time before it leans too far and somebody ends up in the drink. Speaking of water - your tap water stinks to high Heaven...it was gross!
The house is showing its age and it, and the yard, looks neglected. Pine straw, leaves, pine cones and sticks are everywhere including on top of the roof. For the price paid - we were disappointed and were wishing we had chosen differently. Lookin' for a lake house with a dock and you have no worries - then here ya go, but there are a lot of other options within miles of Minocqua/Woodruff that would probably be a better choice.
Here's a tip - let future renters know what day is trash day.
