Staying for one night would be ok . But I was here for 5 days . I first arrived and wanted adjoining rooms . Since I got 2 queen suites they don’t connect . Honestly 2 queens and a queen suite adjoining would have worked but wasn’t offered . All we needed was a fridge and microwave which the 2 queens don’t have . But the queen suite does. So my daughter had to sleep on the pull out double sofa bed. The first room we got . Pulled out the bed and there was stains and the bed was broken . Went downstairs . Guy was nice gave us another room . The couch didn’t pull out at all . Next room the bed was a single which my daughter would have fallen off of it was so small. Finally the 4th room was good . Very frustrating my sister’s family was suppose to be connecting but we were on different floors and I already pre paid for everything. One night cops came to the hotel . I’m from Canada and I don’t know different areas in the states so apparently ours was in the ghetto. Nice to have Walmart right across the street. That was the only good thing . Other than that I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s good for one night but anything more I would pay a bit more to get a better hotel.

They cheat you!

We paid for a two queen room and were told that they did not have one available. There was no money taken off the bill for providing only a 1 bed room when we reserved a 2 bed room. Absolutely horrible. Other reviews say the same thing about paying for a 2 bed room and then the same story about not having any 2 queen bedrooms available.

The room reeked of cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. When I went to turn on the faucet in the bathroom, the water came out black. The lining of the bathtub was flaking revealing black underneath it. There was a heavy amount of allergen in the room and no air conditioning in the hallways. I ended up checking out two days early and going to a hotel down the street.

While the hotel rooms were very clean, they were quite outdated. However, the real issue was that I didn’t feel very safe in the area around the hotel. My biggest concern was coming from the guests staying in the room next to mine, they were screaming and fighting all night. They were slamming the doors. Lastly, on friday morning I woke up to the sound of sawing and banging coming from the room next door or directly outside. While the hotel was nice, the specific part of it that I was in wasn’t very pleasant.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Microtel. We arrived exactly at the 3:00pm check-in time and were told no rooms were ready, despite being assured on the phone earlier that early check-in wouldn’t be an issue. We were asked to return in 15 minutes, and even then the room still wasn’t ready. Staff were polite but clearly disorganized and unprepared. The excuse given was that only 3 cleaners were available to clean 60 rooms—which felt unprofessional to share with guests. When we finally got to our room, the condition was disappointing: stained carpet, dirty-looking sheets, and a bathroom mirror framed with duct tape. We checked out the next morning and won’t be returning. Great location, but the hotel desperately needs better upkeep and management.
