Friendly check in, the cable t.v. wasn't working in my room and they came up immediately to fix it. The only down side was the amount of ice and slush in the parking lot. It was really slippery and it would be great if they would have a plow clear it out.

The restaurant in the hotel was closed because it snowed. No breakfast. Someone burnt some popcorn or food on the 4th floor. The smell filled the whole floor. It made me nauseous and I couldn't sleep.

Breakfast was good at Steak and Ale. I liked the attached restaurant. That was convenient. Pool was small. Towels were not stocked in the pool area. Very cold in there. We couldn’t check in until 45 minutes past the check-in time because our room was not ready. This was frustrating. Especially when you’re sitting with kids just waiting to get into your room. Lastly, the thing I did not like about our hotel room was at the fridge and microwave, coffee pot. We’re all in the bathroom. That seems very dirty to me. Poor placement.

Pool is well heated. Hot tub is pathetically tiny, sitting on the bench the water comes to my waist, I had to sit on the floor to get water to my shoulders. The jets weren't working half of the time. I booked the same day due to bad winter weather keeping me in town unexpectedly, and even though the hotel appeared half empty, I couldn't check in 2 hours early without paying $40 (almost half of the nightly charge - that is ridiculous!) I agreed because I didn't want to just sit in the lobby watching the snowstorm. I was never once informed of any type of deposit or hold for incidentals, but the pending charge on my card is $75 more than what I expected, I am hoping the final charge won't include that BUT you should tell people about any holds or deposits. I used a debit card linked to my checking account, because this was an unplanned stay due to weather. Having my account short that much without prior notice is not ok, if I had not seen it, that could have caused overdraft fees for me. It's horrible customer service to not tell people about deposits or holds that are more than the amount on the reservation! Room was clean and comfortable. I had a sitting area outside of my room door which was nice other than the chairs being incredibly uncomfortable so I brought a bed pillow out there to use. My "patio" sitting area was in earshot of the front desk and I heard the phone ringing without being answered, repeatedly, for at least an hour. On site restaurant was excellent.
