I like the landscape, the old farmhouse and the gentleman that checked us in. The place looked clean and the bed was comfortable and the air conditioner was loud but nice, the cookies were very good. We basically only slept there, got in after 10pm and out by 6am. The room as your entered the bathroom had a strong order of urine, a dead bug under our pillow, and when i shut off the air conditioner there was a strange oder in the room so i turned the air back on and it was fine.

We appreciate the note and are happy that you enjoyed your stay, although, as you mentioned, your visit with us was too short - even missing our terrific breakfast. Our sincere apologies about the noise and smell. We will replace the air conditioner with a quieter one. Unfortunately your stay coincided with the extreme heat wave that enveloped the northeast making it the hottest day and night of the year. The air conditioner may have just been overwhelmed, but luckily it still cooled. We do hope to see you again in the future, and for a longer stay.

WONDERFUL PLACE to stay and dine! Farm fresh!!!!

Pros: The Inn at Baldwin Creek is simply a lovely place to stay. We were warmly greeted by all (including the dogs!) and enjoyed our stay immensely.
Cons: I'd simply add Laura's creation of sugar-coated pecans in the buttermilk pancakes, to the breakfast menu!!!! Absolutely delicious!!!!!
Location: There are beautiful hikes and waterfalls nearby. There are also state parks, beautiful lakes, bike paths (motorcycle & mountain bikes) shops nearby.
What a wonderful place to dine!!!! We were staying at the Inn at Baldwin Creek and dined at Mary's restaurant. The "World Famous" garlic soup is not to be missed (if you love garlic & heavy cream). Very rich and delicious. The owners, Doug & Linda, are pioneers of Vermont's "Farm to Table" movement and serve only the freshest local ingredients to their guests. Their gardens are beautiful and whatever they don't grow themselves on the property, they buy from local resources. My husband and I both SO enjoyed our meals. My husband's lamb was cooked to perfection! Our server was wonderfully efficient, kind, and filled with great local information as was Doug, the owner and chef. What a wonderful place to stay and dine. We will definitely return!!!!! AMAZING breakfasts for those who stay at the Inn!!! FARM FRESH EVERYTHING! Simply lovely! NOTE: When in Bristol, you MUST stop in to enjoy LuLu's Ice Cream….voted the BEST in Vermont - no surprise here…..LuLu's is owned by Doug and Linda's wonderful daughter, Laura. I especially liked the flavor: "Legally Blondie" which was butterscotch with blondie brownies - YUMMMMMMMM!
