Great looking Hotel... wonderful view

Pros: Staff. View. Location
Cons: Make balconies private
took an hour and 1/2 to check in for a reserved room on the 7th floor. Hotel staff was great, Very professional. Hotel housekeeping visited the room once during the whole weekend stay. Didn't leave enough towels but with one call we had them in minutes. Somewhat disappointing is the balcony. Not a private balcony. Separated from the next balcony by a see through screen. When on the balcony you can see into the next rooms. With the selection in Miami I may not stay again.

Good location for walking to Brickell restaurants

Pros: exclusiveness, ability to work by the pool, wifi reaches out there. walking distance to brickell restaurants.
Cons: see above in experience
Location: running bla bla
While I rate everything high, I was put off by their petty approach to charging for minor items that most hotels include in the price. They wanted to charge me $12 for the use of wifi, when I refused it, the lady on checkin gave it to me complementary. While I appreciated this, how many other guests just pay the $12? Everyone has a mobile phone today, but if you choose to make local call, the charges are clearly meant to take full advantage of the guest. Overall, it is relatively overpriced but it is luxurious, and obviously if you stay there, no problem affording the extra little items they charge, but it does not give me a good feeling when an expensive hotel feels they have to go a-la-carte for everything, they can easily roll wifi into price. To be fair, there was a free bottle of water in the room :)

Consistent with the Asian hospitality they are founded on

Pros: excellent location, in room technology, pool and spa facilities, restaurant menu, superior customer serivce
Cons: No free Internet, no in room coffee maker, valet parking only
Staff are simply amazing and do everything in their power to make you feel truly welcome. When asked if this was my first stay with them (which it was) I was personally shown to my room where all the features of the room were explained. Valet Services were quick and courteous, and the Concierge is very knowledgeable. The on site restaurant staff are phenomenal and the food is decadent and divine. The restaurant staff even offered us bug spray when the saw the mosquitoes were bothering us, which illustrates the staff's willingness to go above and beyond. Hotel is also set on the waterfront (Biscayne Bay) where a jogging path provides a nice place for a scenic after dinner stroll. Will certainly stay here again on my next trip to Miami.

a wonderfull experience

In the States the best hotel I ever had. Last year I was in Fort Lauderdale in Ritz Carlton, but Mandarin Orient hotel Miami is 10 times nicer. Great rooms, great service (all of them, waiters, reception, cleaning personal, .....) Also the restaurant has a very good menu on a very (for Miami) cheap price: 35 $ for a 3-menu. If I go back to Miami, 100% again in Mandarin Orient. Thanks to all the people who work there to give me a very nice vacation.

This hotel is a great get away for a honeymoon or anniversary.

Cons: Nothing close
The staff was great. The hotel spa was not completed yet and that was one of the reasons I selected the hotel. It was far away from any eatery places. The patio was small, I was looking for a patio that was larger where you could sit and watch the ocean. Overall the hotel staff was professional and prompt, cleaness of the room was excellent. It was our anniversary and the staff had put rose petals and chocalate cover strawberries in the room upon arrival. This was a plus for the Mandarin hotel.
