The room was newly renovated and very nice. The staff were very friendly and said they had upgraded me to a newly renovated room. It would seem that most rooms have been renovated and the rest are going to be done, Gret to see the new owners retaining the bones of this beautiful old motel while refurbishing it tastefully

Very Tidy and Clean room. So cozy..Bed is amazing.. Morning View of the lake while having coffee is great.. Eventhough not far from the road its still pleasantly quiet..

Didn't use the pool. The room didn't match the photos on internet. There were no inside table and chairs. The 2-seater couch was very uncomfortable - we were told it was all architect designed. We would NOT go back there again. Two fold up camping stools are NOT furniture for a suite, don't think an architect would have specified them. NOT GOOD NOT HAPPY

We have stayed many times at black dolphin and were looking forward to renovation. Very disappointed, no drawers anywhere in room ,table and chairs outside only (we had inside and outside before). Side tables too small and easy to knock over, no drawers. Two camping chairs made us laugh. Light fixture cord dangerously low and a safety hazard.cord

Our Studio lake view room had lots of space to move around. Bed is confomfortble, soft but supportive and fly screendoor that overlooked the Pickle Ball court and picnic bench. The continental breakfast for 2ppl included 2 fresh baked pasties, jam, fresh milk and Oj. All gourmet quality. Rooms & Bathroom are fully renovating and they did a good job. Areas of improvement. A pair of comfortable indoor air chairs and bedside light switches. You have to wash your dishes and cutlery in the bathroom sink. Note to house keeping to check behind the bathroom door when cleaning after the previous guest. There was a towel left behind and mini bar items were not replenished before we check in. Lucky they reception didnt charge us for it. Overall enjoy our stay. Would recommend and return. Note: Reception is located across the road at the Black Dolphin Holiday Park. Better signage or pre check in instructions text would be helpful.

The checkin was by pick up in a locksafe. Not a problem. No code for wifi. On calling the office there was no reply. Then told to leave a message and a staff member would call. Did not happen. We found cockroaches in the bathroom and a lot of dust/dirt on the floor.
