"Island Time" Riverfront cottage

Relax and take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and watch all the boating action from your oversized elevated riverfront deck. Gas firepit and Grill upstairs on deck surrounded by plenty of outdoor seating arrangements for entertaining small groups or family and friends. Downstairs there is another deck complete with lounge chairs, charcoal grill and hammock to relax riverfront. Private Dock for two boats on deep water Amite river / Diversion. This is a golf cart community island and only accessed by Golf Cart which is provided for you free with rental. Several great riverfront restaurants within a mile of property and a riverfront restaurant and Tiki Bar at entrance to island that you can ride your golf cart to!

Island Getaway
House was clean and stocked with basic needs! We were pleasantly surprised with our stay on this island. We were there during the week, so the island was quiet and peaceful. Just what we had hoped for. It was an easy drive to visit Baton Rouge one day and another day we went to New Orleans. Both easy to get to and from. Our host Jerry was quick to reply to any needs or questions we may have had and easy to work with!

Great place for a weekend getaway
We had a great time staying at Jerry's place. He was very responsive even when I messaged him early the morning of check in. He even offered for us to check in early since the cleaners came the previous day. A few things could use a little updating and the air conditioner had trouble keeping up during one of the hottest months on record, but overall, we had no complaints. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, extra ice in the freezer, and the older kids loved the golf cart. Would definitely come back!

Island Life
I am from Louisiana and live out of state now and was looking for a place for myself and my kids to relax. It was clean, cozy and the golf cart community added a whole new dimension to the stay for my kids. We will be back!
