8/10 Good

I stayed at Seascape for three nights immediately after arriving from England as part of my one-month travels around Sri Lanka.
It is a solid three-star property â fairly basic, and you generally get what you pay for â but it has one major advantage: location.
Highlights:
âą The hotel is right on the beachfront.
âą The beach stretches for about 1 km and is beautiful, relatively wild, and not overcrowded.
âą Great for long walks and surfing.
âą Not overly developed, which makes it feel peaceful and authentic.
âą Staff were genuinely kind and helpful.
âą Breakfast was good and enjoyable each morning.
Things to note:
âą Rooms are simple and functional.
âą I experienced a slight drainage smell in the room, though it wasnât overwhelming.
âą Dinner was underwhelming on both evenings I ate there â quite basic and slightly overcooked. I would recommend going out for dinner instead, as there are better options nearby.
Overall, if you are looking for beachfront access, a relaxed atmosphere, and good value at a three-star level, this is a reasonable option. Just manage expectations regarding room standard and dinner quality.
