Excellent attentive service by the hosts. We arrived late but the host still managed to accommodate evening dinner when the kitchen was closing. Just what we needed after a tiring day. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and full of character. Definitely will stay again if passing.

Had a lovely 1 night stay at this hotel with my daughter when visiting friends. Hotel was very clean, perfectly situated for exploring the area, staff were so welcoming and friendly (we especially loved Ruby the dog at breakfast) We would like to return in summer for a longer stay.

Staff very welcoming but overall it’s disappointing. Far too expensive for the type of accommodation. Initial impression meeting guests is that it is dishevelled and messy. It’s an old building so the bedroom floor is all off the level . The room was very poor with a big patch of wallpaper covering a damp wall. Food was poor enough for the price. The rating isn’t reflective of the property.

This was our second time here -- and it was just as excellent as our first one a year ago. Breakfast remains delicious...really appreciate how it's cooked to order. This time, we had dinner at the restaurant one of the nights -- also delicious and a great atmosphere
