This quaint two-bedroom condo offers a primary bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite bath. The second bedroom has a king sized bed. While there is not AC in the bedrooms, there are fans and louvered windows to allow the famous Maui Trade Winds to help cool the condo. The property is loaded with all the comforts of home including air conditioning in the living room, ceiling fans, a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer as well as high speed internet and Smart TV. With the convenience of outdoor seating, you'll never miss a sunset! Beach towels and beach chairs are supplied in the unit for those days when you want to bask in the sun on the beach.Island Sands is located in the heart of Maui near Ma'alaea Harbor and is the perfect starting point for exploring the island. The beautiful grounds have a pool with Oceanfront views and barbecue area. Ma'alaea Bay is the perfect spot for winter whale watching or hopping on a snorkel boat adventure at any time of year. 2024 Whale Watch
Comfortable condo with outstanding view! We had whales in the bay morning to evening including multiple mom’s/calves. Large turtle in feeding along the wall as well. The condo is well supplied. The patio doors and windows are old and weathered , rather tough to open/close tightly to keep bugs out. The dead plants inside and outside were off putting:fake would be better if you want the greenery. But those all small things compared to the comfort and views! Would book again for sure!

Great condo, management unfriendly
The condo itself was great. Great views and great location. The on site building manager, Kevin Wolf, was very rude and yelled at our kids for playing in the pool and even followed us up to our room. We felt very uncomfortable around the manager and despite enjoyong the condo, we would not stay here again because of him.

Views, Location, Turtles!
We have been to Maui many times over the years, and this has been our favorite place to stay. We loved that we were away from the hustle and bustle of the more populated areas. The building was incredibly quiet. Waking up to see Haleakala from the deck and Molokini was just breathtaking. The setup for our stay with twin teenagers was perfect for our family. I loved cooking in the kitchen and just looking out at the ocean. Our favorite was sitting on the deck and watching the sea turtles. One day we even counted 20 of them! Great vacation, great condo, thank you!

Sea turtles galore!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed at the condo. From the very first day we were there, we spotted sea turtles right outside the balcony! We were able to just run downstairs to get a good picture of them and with them! The place itself was about 15 minutes away from the airport and 25 minutes to Lahaina, which is where our excursions occurred. It was also about an hour and a half for both the Road to Hana and the Haleakala volcano. Quite an easier drive compared to staying west of Maui. The place was very clean when we got there and there were plenty of amenities included with the unit. Definitely felt at home the moment we arrived. Plenty of space for a family of four and maybe even more with the new sofa bed in the living room. Definitely recommend staying at this condo!

Wonderful stay!
Our family of 4 had a terrific stay at Island Sands 411. The condo was beautifully decorated, very clean and had amazing views. We spent a lot of time on the lanai watching sea turtles swim in the waves. It is conveniently located and a short drive to all the beautiful beaches the island has to offer.

Fantastic
The VRBO was clean, and spacious for the four of us.The view was amazing and the kitchen fully stocked with pots and pans. I love the location on the island. It was central and easy to visit sites going both ways.

Amazing views!
This property has amazing views! We saw turtles everyday. Coffee on the lanai is breathtaking. The apartment is spacious. We had a family of 5 and it worked well. Especially loved the second bathroom with shower with 3 teenagers and 2 adults. There isn’t a lot of things to do in Maalaea. You have to drive for everything. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful holiday, this is great. There are very strong trade winds that blow through this area. Some days in the heat the wind was very nice. There is a small pool area and a small beach area. The apartment has nice beach chairs and a cooler which we used on beach days and when we went on the Road to Hana. The building is very quiet. We didn’t hear any other neighbours. The apartment is nice and clean. Would stay again.
