"The room was spacious and pretty clean. The breakfast was delicious, with lot's of options and an omelet station, where the chefs will make you a custom omelet or other eggs of your choosing. Upon check in guests receive vouchers for free drinks at the daily mixer, which is between 5:30 and 7 pm in the lobby bar. It's a great way to meet people and find out about the area from other visitors. They also have snacks such as chips and salsa, crackers and cheese, fruits and veggies etc. Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. They assisted in mailing out a package so that I didn't have to spend an hour and a half going to and from the nearest post office. The local post office was out of service. The hotel is conveniently located a relatively short walk to Canal Street and other areas of interest, or you can hop on a bus or trolly to get around. You can get a 24 hour public transport pass for $3. They also have weekly and monthly passes available. A one way trip is $1.25 without the pass, so just spend the extra $0.50. We were only in New Orleans for two nights, but plan to return and plan to stay at the Embassy Suites when we do."

"The property is one block from Bourbon Street. We wanted a place that was walkable and it was close to all restaurants, bars and shops. The staff that did the checking in was great. Super friendly. They have staff located at all doors because there is a problem with homeless people as expected. This made you feel safe entering and exiting the property. My only complaint is I did not know that there was no mini fridge and microwave in the room as most hotels do have this. Could not bring my leftover food back. Everything other than that was great."
