You get what you pay for in this town

Very basic rooms, tiny pillows and the AC didn’t work but you get what you pay for! It was still clean and bathroom was nice. Close to a lot of the attractions of the area

Location is convenient to train station and old town areas. Friendly staff, free local bus pass provided at check in, and the staff cleaned a room quickly so we could check in early after a long night flight… highly recommend.

Exactly what we were looking for. More affordable option in Lucerne. Great proximity to everything in Lucerne and 5 minute walk to main area. This hotel was no frills but clean and functional. Nice staff. Would stay again. No parking lot but plenty of room on the street around the hotel for our rental car.

No AC just blower

Location and staff are great. Breakfast was good. The ac blows outside air into the room but does not condition it. This made for warm nights which meant restless sleeping. They are too cheap to turn on the ac units. Halls and other common areas have badly stained rugs, etc.

This place is not being maintained well. Walls and carpet were very dirty. Bathroom drain was clogged. Room was too hot! We booked this hotel because it said it has air conditioning. The room temp wont go below 23.5C. The hallway was colder than inside the room! I asked the front desk and I was told if the temp outside is more than 25C, the room temps stays high. It didn’t make sense. Then they shouldn’t have advertised they had air conditioning if that was the case. Staff was nice though, she gave us a small fan. Helped a hit but we were still uncomfortable.

We had a lovely stay! The staff were friendly and accommodating.The only little hiccup was that there wasn’t an in-room fridge, but everything else was great. Plus, getting around was a breeze, and we were just a short stroll away from the city center. Overall, a great experience!

The ibis styles was nicely renovated inside a nice, old building. The staff, especially Barbara at reception, were fabulous. The room was modern but small. The bathtub with inadequate splash shield, let the shower spill onto the floor. Photos suggested a stall shower, which I would have preferred. No face cloths or bars of soap were available. There was no refrigerator, although indeed none was promised. The breakfast was better than average.

Air-conditioning was broke, despite I asked for assistance to fix it up they simply say maintenance already check and all is good but inside the room was almost 32 C… Uncomfortable bed and third sofa bed terrible… absolutely do not recommend it whatsoever…

The location was good, although farther away from the train station than I expected. It was like a European version of a Motel 6. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. But a few requests (like an extra towel) relieved some bad attitude. Not worth the price we paid.
