When we checked in we came into a room that had not been cleaned. There was dirty linen on the bathroom floors. The counter tops were sticky. The floor had clearly not been vacuumed. We had asked for linen for our pull out bed when we checked in at 4pm. By 9:45pm we still hadn’t received any. We asked for cups as there were none in our room and were told they didn’t have any. When we checked in we were told there was a football team there and if our kids wanted to swim they probably should go when the football players were gone. The pool area was a disaster with towels flung everywhere. The breakfast buffet was not the greatest. The food was cold. The sausage was like rubber. The best part about our stay was the shuttle driver. He was kind, caring, and had excellent customer service. When we checked out our receptionist was very rude. Also if you stay plan on spending at least $14 to park.

Didn’t have the handicap accessible room we reserved. Then they decided to book a pageant and a sports convention simultaneously so we had children running the halls all night long screaming and acting out (great job parents!). The elevators took about 20 minutes on average to arrive. Don’t get me started on the parking at the Lee st garage where people go on milk cartons after they enter. What a mess. Charleston is a joke and Embassy Suites is an embarrassment

Very noisy until after midnight. Children running around the lobby and on the elevators playing and running and playing on every hall on every floor. It was a mad house. I went down to get a beer. Took 6 minutes for an elevator. It took 20 minutes to be able to get nack on an elevator to go to my room. Kids were stopping at every floor taking up valuable elevator space for adult guests such as myself. I feel i will never ever stay at embassy suites after this experience. I was going to book at the Marriott but the idea of a suite and more comfort interested me

Check in was smooth and staff were friendly. Parking is an issue more so than it has been in the past. The transition to the mall parking garage would be fine but it’s still a little walk and on the other side of the street. Elevator did not work had to repack our vehicle and baby to go back and do valet. Room was reasonably clean but had a possible live roach in our bathroom when my wife was getting ready. Stayed here for years but won’t be back for awhile now.

Potatoes and biscuits were soggy, as if they were setting around in a steam bath for a long time. Bartender was extremely nice. Thenstaff was extremely nice. The room was busted up a bit. Stains in tub and on the walls. We tried to use the pullout couch, but it appeared the sheets hasnt been changed in months on it. Only one light worked in the bathroom. Pillows were comfortable. We were happy with the size of the room, it just needs some TLC.

It was a nice place to stay overall. The pool was chilly and did lack a little cleanliness, but everything else was nice. Plan on walking to park if you want to self park, but valet is available.
