Checked in was easy. We were given a wheel chair accessible room (did not need it). The shower water pressure was low and the shower was broken. Most of the water went out the spout - not the shower nozzle. Very frustrating. All we wanted was a place to crash and a hot shwoer before boarding our cruise ship. Bathroom had some lights out in ceiling so it was dark. Did not bother to report any of this to staff. We rolled in at 9 PM and left early morning. Front desk staff was friendly, but hotel was functional - clean but needing cleaning staff to pay better attention to room detail. After all, it is the little things that matter sometimes.

Lin at the front desk was very nice and helpful! The property is old, in fair condition…but could use some work. The shuttle is for cruise ship guests only and is not in service unless there is a cruise (this was not specified on the site). Parking is free and that’s a plus. The surrounding area is a little rough and dirty. Room #404 was in very bad condition and smelled unpleasant. #408 was better, but worn and had a large screw in place of the shower handle, lol.

The times we live in our uncertain. There are signs everywhere to wear a mask and social distance. I saw guests not wearing masks. I talk to the front desk and they said that they couldn’t do anything. As if that’s not bad enough. I sought the cleaning staff walking around the hallways without their masks on. These are the people that go into your rooms and change your sheets and get your linens out of the dryer and make the beds all not wearing masks. That is unsafe! I told the front desk person and he basically said there was nothing he could do about it unless I knew who it was. I said have a staff meeting about safety and he said he wasn’t going to do that he was very confrontational. On more than one occasion while needing to get another key card because mine stopped working after 12 hours I would go to the front desk and they would not have a mascon. Granted, they are behind a shield but that doesn’t really matter to me, I’d wear a mask everywhere I expect the same of the people who are getting paid to serve me. I specifically paid extra for a room with a microwave, it did not have a microwave it took a full day to get me a microwave.

We have enjoyed our stay. Not fancy but very pleasant. Bed was not the most comfortable(soft and bouncy)but we managed. Staff was wonderful.
