Nice, updated cabin close to Dodge Ridge with a good layout and plenty of seating. Host was responsive and easy to deal with on any questions. One nit, kitchen could be better stocked with cooking gear for home chefs

We had a great time! Spent a few days doing day hikes in Emigrant. Cabin had everything we needed to cook meals and be comfortable.

Wonderful Ski Stay

Great place to stay for skiing at Dodge Ridge !!! Great location. Short drive to Dodge Ridge / Pinecrest. House was well maintained and clean.

One of the best houses in the area

This property is one of the nicest in the area, and I am so glad I found it. The area is beautiful and quiet but without being in the boonies. You feels safe and it is really clean.

Great getaway weekend

The property was great. Close to a great pizza place (Mia’s) and Pinecrest Lake. Awesome view through the trees, Enjoyed barbecuing on the deck, watching movies with a fire in the cozy family room, board games at the kitchen table, and the nice shower.

Great stay

Comfortable home in nice neighborhood. Enjoyed proximity to Dodge Ridge—very short drive. Home was clean and cozy. My daughter enjoyed the snow and sled.

Peaceful and quiet

Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very quite and peaceful here, we've been visiting the area for over 50 years and this has to be the quietest place we've ever stayed. Comfy and cozy, a great hidden gem just minutes away from Pinecrest and Strawberry.

Quick Family Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! There were 5 adults and 2 children and we fit perfectly. You can tell the property owner takes pride in their cabin as it has several upgrades and great attention to detail (e.g. blanket basket, sparkling cider, additional seating, phone chargers, etc). The location was perfect for Pinecrest lake. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful spot in Cold Springs!

We loved this cabin- we were lucky enough to get a foot of snow on our first night, and we sledded to our heart's content for the rest of our trip. The cabin is well stocked and was so cozy for cold nights with hot cocoa and a movie. Highly recommend Mia's pizza, just down the road, and a trip to the local ice rink! Thank you for sharing your place with us.

Cozy cabin in the woods

My family had a great time. Seems everything in this property is new — fresh remodel. Bed was comfortable. Conveniently located just 10 mins from Pinecrest Lake. Cable/wifi was a little spotty. Regardless, we’d stay again.

Great Cabin

Overall, we had a wonderful stay! The owner was great with communicaton and even let us check in early. The cabin was clean and ready for our visit. It was in a great location, a short drive from Pinecrest and Dodge Ridge. There is wifi which was a plus and service, so it was easy to make phone calls, if needed. Our kids enjoyed playing outside and our dog loved taking a walk in the neighborhood. Overall, it was a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

Great getaway

Nice/cozy house in great area. Very clean. Beds and couches/recliner are very comfortable. Huge tv in living room. Bedrooms had nice size tvs also. Very plush towels and nice shower. Overall a great place to stay. Not much around as far as stores so take snacks and food with you. Great restaurant called MIA’S down the street with really good pizza.

Family trip to the Snow

This property accommodated the 7 of us very well I gave the 3 stars for check in because there was a little hiccup on the lock box code and was having trouble with cell service to contact anyone and that is the reason for the 4 stars on communication, however when I was finally able to talk with the homeowner himself all was taken care of and also granted us a late checkout for the inconvenienc.

Quite cabin/pet friendly

Quite location Appreciated the updated bathrooms and plenty of towels for the four of us. Easy check in process…. Even though home was not ready on time and could have been cleaner. We spent the first few hours rewashing bedding/ throws and properly cleaning the bathrooms. Furniture awkwardly placed to watch TV. Pet friendly also appreciated, yard/ deck not fenced so we couldn’t keep dog off leash. Overall an ok place to stay. Having the home professionally cleaned with more supplies in kitchen would make it a nicer stay.

We'll be Back!

The cabin was great! Fully remodeled and comfortably slept our large group. About a five minute drive to Pinecrest Lake and great, secluded neighborhood to walk around and explore. There's plenty of parking, all the kitchen amenities, comfortable beds and couch, and a TV in every room connected to just about every streaming service there is. The owner was quick to respond when we couldn't figure out the wifi (user error). Though there are two bathrooms, there's only one shower (something we didn't notice in the photos) and in the two bathrooms there's no real counter space to get ready. Would love to see some mirrors added into the bedrooms to help with this!

Everything you need for a great family vacation!

We had a wonderful time at this property. I have stayed in at least a half a dozen rentals in the Long Barn/Pinecrest, Cold Springs, Strawberry area. This was one of the nicest properties we’ve stayed in. Seems like the property was recently updated. Nice comfortable leather couches, everything you need in the kitchen to cook a meal. Wood-burning stove that was awesome for the cold evenings. We found the property easily -there was really only room for one vehicle because of all the snow currently on the ground. I’m sure once the snow melts there will be more adequate parking if you have more than one car. The communication with the property manager was a little spotty leading up to our departure. I emailed, the. called and left a voicemail a few days ahead of our trip but didn’t get a response. I finally sent a text and received a quick response. Plenty of linens, lots of supplies which I always appreciate. I hate when I rent a house and have to go out and buy a sponge. This property is stocked with everything you need, a really nice touch when you are in a place with not too many stores around. Decent water pressure and nice hot water when you get done with the day on the slopes. We definitely would love to stay in the property again! If the snow sticks around we will be sure to book again. Highly recommend the property.

Great Place to Stay!

This pet-friendly cabin is nicely updated with laminate floors throughout. It's located in a nice little neighborhood where you can safely walk the streets with kids and even sled down the hill right on the property. It has all the essentials in the kitchen such as plates, silverware, pans, cups, mugs etc. There were some things that others probably left behind such as oil, salt, pepper, etc, but I wouldn't count on that being there. It is well stocked with towels, TP, paper towels, and light cleaning supplies. A few things to know:We have Verizon and there is no cell-service in the little neighborhood where this cabin is located. The cabin does have WiFi, however the bandwidth will get used up fast if you are streaming Hulu/Netflix on the smart TV and family members are also trying to use apps on their phones. Once connected to Wifi you can send/receive text messages and phone calls. This is not a negative, but more of an FYI. You're in a cabin in the woods! The area where you park (directly in front of the cabin off the road) is very muddy. You will likely need 4 wheel drive to get out of the parking spaces. Make sure you have appropriate footwear on when you arrive (in snow season). There are a few stores in close proximity but they don't have any meat, produce, etc. The last place to get stuff like that is in Twain Harte on the way up the hill I believe. There are a couple great restaurants in close proximity. Mia's in Cold Springs, and Steam Donkey in Pinecrest. There's a gas station that's close by as well but they do not have diesel.
