Respite in the rainforest

Quiet an Rejuvenating

Beautiful place. I can only imagine how pretty it is in the spring and summer. Whidbey Island is a wonderful place to visit and the people are so amiable. We look forward to coming back.

Great place in the woods!

Property is very nice and was very clean. Back deck was amazing and private. Hot tub on side desk was great. Internet fairly fast, enough for streaming.

Lovely hidden gem

This was such a relaxing getaway from city living. The kids loved wandering the magical property, spent afternoons in Langley and at the beachs, and then evenings in the hot tub. No one wanted to leave!

Beautiful hidden gem

This property was like something out of a fairytale book. The property is so serene and peaceful. Id love to come back in thr spring or summer where we could have more daylight hours to enjoy the beauty of it all.

Wonderful rental

We had a great time and will absolutely stay there again. The only downside is a slight odor to the water but it’s easily solvable with some bottled water. I drank the water for several days too with no issues.

Nice place but dirty

The place itself is nice and quiet. Sadly there were ants and some type of crumbs in the bed. Also wifi password was incorrect. We had to look on the router for it.

Wonderful Experience

This property is incredible - the house is lovely and comfortable and well-equipped, the gardens are impeccable, and everything was exactly as described. We had a wonderful time and would certainly stay again. Only downsides were minor: the beds aren’t particularly comfortable and we felt the communication with the property manager about expectations during a power outage could have been better. Neither would keep us from recommending this special place to our friends and family - it’s a gem.

TRANQUIL PERFECTION!

This has got to be the best property that we have ever stayed at in the US! The grounds were simply magical and serene. The house was truly perfect in so many ways! We loved the size of the home because it was just the 2 of us. We were able to have family over for lunch and breakfast a couple of times. It is also perfect for a family or 2 couples. This is a place that we will definitely be coming back to for our next visit to the PNW. Everyone at Tara Rentals was also extremely helpful and responsive. This was one of the most relaxing environments that I have experienced and I am so grateful that we found it!

Reviewer Comments: Be aware the property is next door to the Art box and can be seen from the kitchen window and you have to walk past it to get to the rental. very close. That said the house is gorgeous The view from the master bedroom is lovely and the hot tub is nice at night. Upstairs there is bright so bring your eye masks. It is a lovely property and enjoyed our stay

Excellent Place for Langley Murder Mystery Weekend

My family and I were looking for a VRBO property to stay in during Langley's Murder Mystery Weekend, and Rhythm Waters was exactly what we were looking for. A quiet house in the woods just a few minutes drive from downtown Langley, we were able to take our time driving in for the festivities, then easily get back to look over clues and relax. Didn't have to eat out with a full kitchen available, and the one master bed and two beds in the loft gave the whole family a place to sleep. And while some of us were watching a movie on the large screen tv, others were enjoying a soak in the hot tub. If you're looking for a secluded place less than 10 minutes drive to Langley, you should really consider Rhythm Waters.

Underwhelming

It’s an absolutely lovely property, private and close to Langley. When we arrived there were cleanliness issues: including ants, partially filled single use containers, coffee grounds in all of the drawers, and stains on the walls to name a few things… The property is so lovely, you’d expect it to be a place of refuge, but the beds are small, there are no rugs (just concrete floors), and everything is very shabby - pots, pans, couches, etc. It just wasn’t cozy. These things were not the biggest issue though… The biggest problem with this house is the septic smell from the water.

This is Paul Hand, beautiful garden, setting and cottage

The setting and location are perfect and the cottage itself is very nice. The kitchen supplies are quite limited, however. We had to purchase a sharp, knife, olive oil, and several other things that would be standard. It would be good to assess how the kitchen is stocked And update from time to time.

Quiet beautiful retreat in nature

This is our second time staying in Rhythm Waters. It is a special place. We played lawn games, board games inside and on the patio, watched a movie, enjoyed the hot tub, had a cookout on the grill, roasted s’mores on the fire pit, and took plenty of short trips around the island. We were visited by plenty of birds, and it was totally private once we were in the house. For preparation, do bring some bug spray and citronella candles to ward off mosquitos, and drinking water since the house is on well water.

Birthday stay-cation-get-a-way

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we first arrived it was around 6pm, after the sun went down and it was pitch black. It was hard to find the turn of the main road as well as the parking area at the top of the driveway. It was so dark we almost parked directly in the middle of what looked like a road.. But we loved how exclusive and in the middle of nowhere/woods it felt, while being so close to town and the ferry! Once inside the cabin, we only used the lower level. We brought food to cook all weekend thinking we weren't going to leave. The kitchen was very nice, except alot of the utensils and dishes were dirty. Things were / very used there wasn't a lot of options to cook with as far as pots and pans. For having a full kitchen I would have expected the basics to at least be there... we made it work . BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER!!!! I have grown up with well water and I have not been anywhere beside the farm back in Iowa with well water that smells and tastes so strong. I'm not as sensitive to it, but someone from the city or someone whose never experienced this before might think this is a big deal. It was pretty pungent for the entire time we were there. We ended up going to the srore and bought a gallon of drinking water. Over all the place was not very clean. The sheets on the bed had yellow stains, the robes were used (we found stains and a lighter in the pocket of one of them) the shower floods the floor no matter the angle the shower head was pointing. Even facing the back wall didnt help it just wrnt under the glass door. We were glad to find there were alot of extra towels and a washer and dryer so we could lay as many towels as we needed to on the ground to soak up the water. The only other thing is that we felt some of the "house rules" were a little strict for the fact that our stay didn't meet all of our expectations for the amount of money we spent for 3 nights and we only ended up staying 2 nights.
