The location was the best part of this home. We felt that a smoker stayed before so you could smell that. The breaker was off for half the house so we had to do turn it on no issues but then the hot water didn’t work and had to figure that out. There were fire ants all over the backyard which stunk because we loved fishing in the canal but got bit a few times. The biggest issue was hidden fees, we booked this house because of a discounted price but then they came back middle of our stay requesting more money due to more guest which was confusing because we booked 4 people and the house held for people. It was a money grab and just makes me not want to book again due the hidden fees. Feel scam-ish.

Nice get a way at a reasonable price

The only issue was the pool was much smaller than the pictures and the pump wasn't running so we didn't really use it. It was great for what we needed it for and the host was very responsive.

Wonderful Home with a pool and on canal

We have stayed at this home numerous times, this is our go to home when visiting Lake Placid. Home has everything you need for your stay, kitchen is fully stocked, plenty of towels, and comfortable beds.There is an inground pool and home sits on the canal. Neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Chloe is wonderful to work with. Check in and Check out is very easy, home has a lockbox for access.

We really loved the area and the house. The property does need some TLC. The pool has a leak, but it was too cold to swim anyway. We messaged the host but did not get a reply. The instructions in the book need to be updated as I am not constantly checking my email and we received some instructions a little too late via email The pool Lanai is full of spiders and the screen doors do not latch properly. The sprinklers come on every morning and really need to be adjusted. Most of the water just hits the pool cage and at least 3 of them do not even spray.

only 2 issues, 1. did not realize the hot water tank was shut off until I got into the shower. wrapped in a towel, I found the turned off switch and turned it back on. 2. every day when we left in the morning, we were greeted with an irrigation shower while trying to get to our cars. Other than that we liked the unit and would consider staying again.

Everything we needed and just the right place

Great little place with super comfortable accommodations. Very clean. One small hiccup at check inbut the host literally took care of it in under 2 minutes. Very responsive and great communication. Will definitely make this my place when I come back.

Beautiful Home in a Nice Quiet Neighborhood

We have rented this home numerous times, this is our go to home when we visit Lake Placid. Chloe the owner is very easy to work with. This home is just as described on the listing. Home sits on a canal with a dock, has an inground pool, home is comfortable, has everything you need for your stay. Neighborhood is very safe, and all the neighbors are very nice and friendly. This is our home away from home :)

Beautiful Home with a pool on the canal

This home is just as described. This is our go to home every time we are in the Lake Placid Area. It is very clean and has everything you need for your stay. It is in a nice quiet friendly neighborhood. Home has an inground pool and a nice sitting area on the back porch that is covered and screened in. Owner is very nice and communicates very well. Home has easy check in and out process. There is a keypad on the front door. This is our home away from home :)

Nice home, well kept. Clean and comfortable.

I did not give a final 5 stars as this is the first home we have rented that did not have soap/shampoo in the bathrooms. It did not state it would not have it either and being we were there for a race, we were looking forward to a nice shower with SOAP. Other than that, all was as stated. Thank you.

Nice Home with pool on a canal

This is our second time we have stayed in this home. Home is in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to everything. The home is fully stocked with what you need, has a nice covered screened in back porch and pool. It sits on a canal that can be used for kayaking and fishing. Home is very clean, we noticed within the last year since our last stay Chloe has done some updating and changing some furniture. You can tell she cares about her home. She is very easy to work with and always responds quickly. We will for sure be back at this home again :)

Not very clean

This property was not very clean, I vacuumed all the floors upon arrival. Also, wiped down bathroom sinks and counters. There was hair in the drains of the showers. I never felt clean while staying here. There was a lot of seating missing compared to the photos in the listing. A large sofa and a rocker glider from the living room and a large dresser from the bedroom. The pool needed to be repainted (didn’t affect performance tho). There was no laundry soap to wash towels or bedding upon departure however the checkout process stated to only leave one set of sheets for wash. There was also ants/mites? All over the kitchen counters. They offered to come spray but we had our dog and children with us so didn’t feel that was a safe option. Over-all I would not select this property again.

Beautiful home, no water pressure

All in all we enjoyed our stay, even booked an extra day (so we could see more family). When we arrived after driving 13 hrs we tried to find the lock box in the location we were told it would be... It's not there. It's in another location. We find it and after 3 tries get the owner on phone due to the fact the key is NOT in the lock box. She informed me, it was in a specific location and that she had messaged me.... I NEVER, TO THIS DAY, TWO WEEKS LATER, received any messages stating the key was in a different location than previously sent. I can get over that. We get our dogs and luggage unpacked into an 80° house and I'm not ashamed to admit the smart ac unit took us a minute to get started... Ok I get it I'm not up to technical ish. Well we went to shower after our long trip and there is enough water pressure to let it get half warm, I wet my hair, apply shampoo and no water...I had to use bottled water to rinse my hair....the whole 5 day stay was like that. So we made it work and showered in morning after well had some pressure and water..we still had to shower like we were camping, one hurry in the other run in behind em. But we delt with that.... The last and extra day we stayed however, someone showed up to fix water and was under impression we knew about it. We were never informed of this either. He also threatened to use a shovel on our dogs if they were out when he fixed water. Even though our dogs were put in their houses as soon as he knocked on door. And he never saw them. The last straw for us was the extra day we stayed someone else also tried to check in at 3:45 with their boat and dog. We (them & I) finally got in touch with owner and she had double booked us. We wound up staying till the next morning and were asked to help clean as she was having a hard time finding a cleaner... The only reason we enjoyed our trip was due to the fact we got to see our family.
