Beautifully decorated studio in Kure Beach!

"Coastal Scandinavian" is a perfect little studio on the backside of the home that is cozy for two and just a block to the beach. Decorated in an eclectic but simple way with comfort and functionality as the main goal. The studio is directly attached to the main house and both share a common deck, but it also has a separate entrance and parking for the convenience and privacy of it's guests.

There is a kitchen, a dining area, living room, and bedroom with a private bath. Please note the kitchen does not have an oven but beyond that, it comes with all the needed utensils to cook a meal or simply open a bottle of wine. The living room has a very comfortable leather apartment style sofa, marble coffee table, flat panel TV, cable, DVD player and sound bar. The main storage area is also located in the living room with closet and drawer space. The bedroom has a Queen size bed, nightstands, and independent, dimmable reading lights. The bathroom, while not huge, has everything you need for that beach getaway and is accessible only through the bedroom. Please note that there is no bathtub, just a shower stall. A small bistro set is also provided on the back deck for an impromptu alfresco meal or an afternoon drink.

If you need that weekend getaway for just a short time, "Coastal Scandinavian" is the place for you!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ARRIVING AT "COASTAL SCANDINAVIAN":
The entrance to the rental unit is in the rear of the property on Third Ave Extension. To get to the rental unit, take Ft. Fisher Blvd S to Davis Road.
Make the first right onto Third Ave Extension. The rental unit is at the very end of Third Ave Extension on the left side. Park in the grassy lot next to the rental entrance. The rental unit is not accessible from E Avenue. Do not attempt to enter the main house from the front door on E Avenue or park in the owner's driveway on E Avenue.

Lovely Place, Close to Beach, Comfortable
I don't have any complaints about the home. It was small, but it was comfortable, clean & quite close to the beach. I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning. The reason I knocked off a star is that the listing is misleading. To start, there was no balcony. There is a deck, but those are not even close to the same. Also, and even more troublesome for us, there was no grill. Keep in mind that we purchased nearly $200 in food for grilling, only to discover there was no grill. We called the property managers upon arrival Monday, and they tracked down the owner, who stated he had no intention of returning the grill. I was pleased that the property managers rented a grill for us to use during our stay, but it was delivered to the main house Tuesday morning, and this location is an addendum behind the house. I spent the entire day not at the beach, but in the house waiting for a grill. At 4:50 I called the property manager again and they basically said to look around for it, but it wasn't there. I said I wasn't comfortable going onto the property of the main house, but they insisted it was fine. I didn't agree because if I found a grill and moved it, am I stealing someone's grill? It was an uncomfortable discussion that left a bad taste. Eventually we did get the grill and we were able to identify it as a rental, and we were happy with the outcome. Overall - excellent vacation. After several days the listing is not updated so be aware there's NO GRILL.

Great for a couple
This place was absolutely perfect!!! This trip was me, my husband and our 11month old. With that said it was hard not having a whole other bedroom for our little! However that was totally on us and still a fantastic place! We were able to put her crib in a spot where she really could see us and it was fine for our short weekend get away! However when it will just be my husband and I we will 100% be renting again!! For 2 people it was the perfect size! It was clean and stocked with all the kitchen supplies you’d need! I can’t say enough about this little place! The walk to the beach was super close and a great spot! Again only good things about this little gem!!

Thought we would be able to at least see the ocean, only to find out the pictures advertised were not even where we were to stay, we were in a back alley way with good access to beach but no view at all. Thought i ask enough questions but was not told the truth by VRBO very nice apartment but a little hard to get in & out the front door, needs safer access at the back or front of the apartment

Cozy comfort Kure
Enjoyed our stay at this little home. Perfect for 2. My only “complaint” was we were left 2 bath towels for 2 people for 5 days and no washer. I believe the rental company’s linens procedures dictate that and really should be adjusted. This linen policy also had us put our own sheets on the bed, which I’ve never had to do before. Aside from that, this lovely little place is perfect for 2 ppl. Very close to beach, beautifully decorated, great layout and ease of use.
