When we arrived to the hotel, the lobby was great but when we moved into the interior hall and Into to our room it was filthy. The carpets looked as though they had not been cleaned and when we opened our room it was just as dirty and the smell in the room was over-powering. I have asthma and there was no way I could sleep in the room. They provided us with another room on the 2nd floor. It was slightly cleaner but still was not great but at least there was no smell. The elevator was non functional as well as the ice machines. They did go buy ice for us but I am extremely disappointed in our stay after a long hot day of exploring the great state of Texas.

Worst hotel ever. The first thing that greeted us was stained carpets. in the hallways and the room. The next thing was the heavy cigarette smoke smell on the first floor entering the elevator. The next thing was that the florescent light over the bathroom sink wouldn't come on without trying it about a dozen or so times. I reported it to the front desk and it still was working when we left. Then my wife tried to use the hair dryer and it didn't work. At first, they couldn't find one so they got us a room key to use one down the hall. It didn't work either. A half hour later they found one to use. I had to ask for an ironing board and the iron leaked water all over my cloths. Our second floor hallway smelled like dog pee. There was no smoke detector in the hallway. The room had three small pillows on our king size bed. The towels where paper thin. It didn't look like the cleaned the floors behind the toilet. There is a train yard less then a mile from our room window. Their idea for breakfast is offering raisin brand and cheerios cereal; a flask of milk; coffee and a few rolls. They never restocked the plastic disposable cups or Styrofoam coffee cups in the room. The bathroom light didn't have a cover.

ok hotel

Pros: former Hoilday Inn express so was a bit more larger then typical Motel 6
Cons: need to keep maintenance up like replacing carpet inside and out.Hallways smelled very bad with cigarette smoke.
Location: lots of construction in area nothing with-in walking distance
hotel has nice big rooms that were very comfortable and quiet.
