Drawbacks on the property was not able to see the beach from the room, along with the ugliness and noise from the buildings below us. Not pleasant to sit on the balcony and hear A/C units blaring. Check in takes way too long. We were 3rd in line and waited 20 minutes

This past weekend 8/8-8/10 we stayed at the Isla Grand Resort Rm 401. Its a 3 bedroom condo. The condo was nice except there were tiny ants everywhere. The rooms, kitchen, dining table....everywhere. If any food was left out it would get infested with the tiny ants. The living room TV had only a couple of channels that worked. It was pretty expensive to stay there so this was very disappointing. On top of that it was my birthday weekend. Also there was a female server at the Quarter Deck lounge that kicked my family out because my adult daughter's forgot there ID. When we were walking out we saw there was a family with toddlers...yup..toddlers! So that made me really upset and I headed back to her to complain and she was speaking to a male that looked like the manager. I expressed my anger about the situation. Their defense was it wasn't 10pm and toddlers were allowed until 10pm but I guess my adult daughters that forgot their ID were not allowed. Ridiculous.

Poor Service

On the day I arrived I requested an extended night and paid for the extra day at the front desk. The next day I was out buy my 80 year old mother was in the suite and a large man from the hotel threatened to kick her out of the room since he showed we only rented it for one day. When I return the man walk past me as I entered the room and the front desk called me and asked that I come downstairs and fill out some paperwork. They let me know they do show I extended the stay but due to miscommunication the cleaning staff was not informed. I still do not understand how a cleaning staff manager has the authority to kick guests out without checking with the front desk first.

Isla Grand is amazing! Super clean, all of the staff was awesome! This is a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing and fun resort.

The property is quite nice with various activities within the property grounds. Having 2 pools was especially nice since the younger kids were in one and adults in another. There is a convenient on site store, restaurants, clubs, game room, tennis courts and of course the beach.

Paid for a high quality hotel and got an expensive motel. I could hear all of my neighbors around me constantly, paper-thin walls. Water damage on the ceiling. Paid extra for a room with a view of the ocean, could only see it if I leaned over the crumbling porch railing. Main building is dimly lit to hide how gross the floor and walls are. Main building's bathrooms had piles of used toilet paper heaped on the floors. All around the motel, heaps of garbage bags were stacked in the corners of the parking lot. Smelled terrible, somehow worse than the toilet paper. All around a disappointment, I suspect I would have had a more comfortable time at any other hotel in town. The pool was well maintained, the beach was nice and the bartenders were great.d

Check in customer service was disappointing.

The Resort over all was a nice with good location services available. Staff was good especially cleaning staff, very professional and polite. There were two specific details that I was not impressed with. Main one was check in, I was not impressed with and did get much help. It was my first time there; I walk in the the lady checking me in, needs to take class in customer service. She didn’t not greet me with smile, continued to check me in and just have me a paper with a map of the facility and two lines of highlight to show me to my room. I asked for a cart for my luggage and all I got was there is non right now. I walked to my car still was not sure what location from the parking to go through. I went back inside to ask her; “was parking any where?” And I still wasn’t sure how to get to my room from the outside. Was it easier to go through the lobby or the outside. All she answered was the outside. Once we finally dragged all our luggage by hand we got to our room and found a theirs was to our room from the parking lot that was quicker and easier. The second was the one bes was worn out. The bed would dip down at the head of the bed. With me first time at this resort, my expectation for customers service front desk was not met as below average.

We found the staff to be very helpful and professional. We enjoyed the on-site amenities. We especially enjoyed the pools and having close access to the beach. We would stay here again.
