Rock Reef Resort was clean and comfortable, with easy access outside our room to the beautiful, calm Florida Bay. The pool was 88 degrees. Kayaks are free to check out to guests. We would definitely come back here if we return to Key Largo.

The hotel works very well for a short stay. For 1–2 nights, it’s a excellent option. However, for a longer stay (like 8 nights), it becomes less comfortable. During vacations, we expect to relax and not worry about making the bed or cleaning the room. Since housekeeping service is not offered, it can be inconvenient for guests staying many days. Overall, good for short stays, but not ideal for longer vacations.
