Welcome to Ocmulgee River Lodge! This unique 3000+ square foot home features 5 private suites. Each suite is equipped with it’s own bathroom and exterior door to access the wrap around porch. The common area provides a furnished kitchen, large island with seating, 70 inch television, and dining table. With on-site river access you can spend your days fishing, floating and kayaking or you can check out one of the many hiking trails located just down the road at Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge. There are several state parks and local attractions nearby to help plan the outdoor getaway you’ve been craving. But don’t let the rural location of this lodge fool you, although it feels like you’re miles from city life, it's located just 12 miles from I75 and both Macon and Forsyth are just a short drive away. Packed with sites to see, things to do, places to eat and lots of shopping. So get your group together and come check out all this lodge and its location have to offer.

Great getaway place for large groups
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at Ocmulgee River Lodge. It is ideal for multi family gathering. The lay out of the house is great because each room has its own bathroom and its own entrance from the wrap around porch allowing privacy for each family and yet there is an open great room floor plan at the center of house where everyone can gather for meals ,etc . Kitchen was equipped with basic necessities. There was enough towels , linens , toiletries . Beds were clean and comfortable. It is a great place to get unplugged as there is no Wi-Fi access but you can still access internet through your phones if you so choose as signal was pretty good for any network. The kids enjoyed fishing at dock behind the house and playing frisbee and ball on the big yard. There are great hiking places nearby and it is only an hour way from Atlanta . If you arrive at night though drive slowly and be watchful of the deers. There was easy , no contact check in and check out . Owner was very responsive in communicating. Would definitely recommend this place.

We really had a fantastic time here. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The host is exceptionally friendly and easy to talk to. They were wonderful and wanted to make sure that our stay was comfortable.

This was our 2nd stay and it was just as good if not better then the first. They added a fire pit which was a nice touch in the evenings after our hunts. Will be back again!

Great For Family Stays
Beautiful area to stay next to a river. Cabin was very open, made for a excellent stay with a big family of 6. Cabin probably could accommodate a lot more, like two or three families with the 5 bedrooms and 5 baths.
