You can explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of Joyeuse, including a 16th-century castle, the Tour de la Recluse and the chestnut museum "Le MusĂ©e de la ChĂątaigneraie”. The old town centre has some good restaurants, where you can enjoy a 'plat du jour’. A must-try delicacy is ‘Macaron de Joyeuse’, a handmade macaron with almonds and nuts and. Vallon Pont d'Arc (25 km), the town of Ruoms (15 km) and the famous Grotte Chauvet Pont d'Arc are also worth visiting.
