I really liked this lodge, it was clean and cozy and am willing to give it a second chance but our first visit was only ok. There was a really disruptive and loud guest below us, and while the staff did handle it, it took a little time. We also didn't have a phone in our room to be able to call the front desk easily ourselves to report the disruptive guest. The bigger issue, however, was our shower was broken, something we didn't know about till the next morning. The shower water was scalding hot and we couldn't control the temperature or turn it off. My partner scalded his foot as he prepared to get into the shower, thankfully it wasn't serious. The staff did connect us with maintenance so we could let them know, and maintenance said they had been having issues with that shower, if they knew they were having issues why did they rent the room to us, why not put us in another room that they knew for sure had a working shower, especially since the shower issue led to scalding water and could have caused someone serious injury. I hope if I stay next time we wont run into any room utility issues like we did with the shower.

Stayed here numerous times. Always a good stay. Only criticism is their pillows are horrible. They really should consider getting better ones. They are tiny, flat, and hard. Almost like something they would pass out in jail. Please invest in better pillows. Other than that great stay as always!

While the room is clean, the noise is horrific! Between people sitting outside yelling, talking on the phone, conversing, a constant drip noise, a non-stop loud humming in the wall, and walking up and down and up and down the floor above the ceiling it’s just ridiculous. I specifically asked the young lady who gave me the room next to the road if it was quiet because that was my main request. She assured me it was. I would pack up and leave if I had it in me to go out in the cold. DON’T be fooled by this place. It’s a fiasco…literally.

I liked the design and thoroughness to make the room looking like a real mountain cabin. From beds to ceiling, lights, and all furniture in the room was thoroughly the mountain cottage. The rooms were very warm and dry, which usually lacks in motel designs. Unfortunately, hot water was running out at night and could not enjoy hot shower in the evening. This was a minor shortcoming. Also, the outside board that one sees from the road was a bit tacky. Given the price tag, overall, were were very happy.

The room at the Log Cabin was so perfect for a Thanksgiving getaway weekend. It was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I will definitely return for another visit!

First impressions were not that good. Dark at night the parking lot was not lit up and you could hear the animals in the animal park. Slight animal smells coming from the park, however, our room was extremely clean! The bed was comfortable the room was cozy and user-friendly good hot water, sparkling clean bathroom and the chairs outside the room on the deck were very inviting and we used them both nights of our stay. The fireplace added a cozy touch and it was nice waking up having a cup of coffee and turning the fireplace on.!! what a pleasant surprise Highly recommend this hotel based on our experience. Don’t be afraid of the outside appearance since it is located next to an animal park.

The Staff and room were a very positive experience to say the least! I would only recommend an extra emphasis on cleanliness but other than that everything was amazing. Also the Animal experience was also a for sure 10/10. I would recommend this place to all for a quick getaway.

Unfortunately the fireplace was a cheap electric fireplace that was connected to an electrical outlet strip and was the same strip the microwave, mini frig, and TV were plugged into. As soon as we had TV on and turned on fireplace, it caused an overload and kicked off all. On a positive, the room was clean and very nice high ceilings and decorated nicely.

Staff was amazing. The on grounds zoo was amazing. The cabin was also amazing. This was best trip i have had in years. The wife and little absolutely loved it. Definitely going back ... i recommend to everyone.
