The check-in was a 35-minute nightmare after traveling all day. The code for the front door was not working. The host was not responsive via the app nor did they provide an actual phone number in the reservation. We had to call VRBO for help: the kind VRBO folks also attempted to contact the host with no luck. Half an hour later, the host was able to unlock the door remotely -- yay? -- but not once was there a token "sorry for the trouble" or "let me know what we can do to make up for this horrible first impression." The smoke alarm was ripped from the wall the lower level, and we never saw an alarm upstairs. Feels like a bit of a liability oversight.Property itself was comfortable and clean on the inside. The patio could use some TLC much like the host's communication style.
