The accommodations were beautiful, clean and private. The only issue was a terrible smell in the unit throughout our stay. The AC wasn’t working when we arrived and the smell could be described as strong and musky. Once the AC was running (it was locked remotely) the smell improved somewhat, but it never went away. The property manager ordered a dehumidifier from Walmart to help, but it didn’t resolve the issue. I’m sure she didn’t believe us, or want to acknowledge what we were experiencing, saying she didn’t smell anything and others had just stayed prior to our visit. The smell wasn’t unbearable as long as the AC ran, but it certainly wasn’t pleasant. (I am accustomed to high temps and humidity, so this wasn’t something I’d expect as a normal smell - it smells like a water leak that hasn’t been detected or that wasn’t taken care of before it caused damage.). Again, the unit and property were great - clean and pretty.
