I arrived after a long day of travel and went straight to sleep. During the night, I was suddenly awakened by someone trying to open my door — a terrifying experience. The next morning, I reported the incident to the front desk. I told them it happened sometime after midnight, though I wasn’t sure of the exact time. After reviewing the security footage, they told me that no one was seen in the hallway. They suggested it might have happened before midnight, but I couldn’t be certain. The manager said he would review it personally and get back to me that evening — he never did. When I checked out the next day, I reminded him that he hadn’t followed up. His explanation was that my room had an adjoining door, and perhaps the guest next door had tried to open it by mistake. However, no one confirmed whether staff actually spoke to the people in the next room to verify this. Two questions remain unanswered: 1. Why was a solo traveler placed in a room with an adjoining door in the first place? 2. Did anyone actually check with the neighboring guests? Unfortunately, it felt like the hotel dismissed my concern entirely. For that reason, I would not recommend this property, especially for solo female travelers.
