Great State Fair Stay!

Pros: We liked that it was close to the Fairgrounds and that it had a kitchen area. The room was spacious and comfortable for our family.
Cons: The only drawback is that it does not have a pool.
Location: Close to Castleton Mall, Keystone at the Crossing, Fairgrounds and more. Just off I-69 and I-465 making an easy commute to any where in Indy.
We stayed three nights. Easy drive to the Indiana State Fairgrounds. LOVED having a full size refrigerator plus a microwave and cooktop and even a dishwasher! Great place to crash at the end of a busy day.

Surburban Extended Stay - Castleton IN

Pros: Otherwise it is pretty clean and the staff is quite friendly and usually ready to help.
Cons: LIGHTING in the rooms. I have had this complaint in previous rooms here and elsewhere.
Location: Good location but that is not what i was there for.
I believe i requested a 1st floor room in my original purchase. I called after booking to request 1st floor room but the girl didn't even take my name but was going to put it in the record! - with no name. I called again and a gentleman said he was 'assigning a room' as we spoke. When i got there the lady did give me a 1st floor room, but it was certainly not assigned and not to my liking but for the 1st floor for one night - ok. It was the accessible room. For someone in more need than I the lighting was TERRIBLE. I could hardly see what I was doing in the kitchen area. I had to request a pot as they were not in the room for cooking. The telephone did not work so I could not put in for a wake up call when I realized it hours after coming in. The radio/alarm clock did not work and I could not even figure how to try to fix it. This room would not have been very comfortable for a handicapped person. It was okay for my needs for one night but. . . .

If all you need is a clean bed and bath.

Cons: The elevator could use some help. A warmer or second blanket would be nice. The blanket was a bit thin.
This is a fine place to stay if all you need is a clean bed and bath. It is not fancy and the woman at the front desk was cheerful and helpful even though we arrived around 10 at night. We did not need the kitchen as we were only staying the night and leaving very early - but if you want a place with a kitchenette ours was clean and it seemed to have all you might need to keep house for an extended stay.

"Walked out"

Pros: I didn't like anything at all.
Cons: To stay in the hotel one originally booked.
We were originally booked to stay at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel. When we arrived, they told us that we were going to be "walked over" to a nearby hotel and that we wouldn't be charged for it. Well, guess what? That nearby hotel was a Motel 6. We walked in, it smelled like smoke. We asked for a different room and the one they gave us the second time DID NOT smell like smoke. However, there were holes in the wall, the ceiling was falling apart in the bathroom, we didn't feel it sufficient to bathe there. I didn't want Motel 6 and I will not book with Travelocity again after this experience. It put a damper on our whole weekend. We couldn't relax, we couldn't clean up- overall, worst experience I've had with a hotel to date.
