Wonderful quiet getaway

I loved this property. I'm always on the lookout for quiet places to get away to. This property was the best I have found. Everything was quiet and perfect. Space was as advertised and everything was great. A lot of reiews mentioned the driveway, it is quite the trip to the property but in my mid-sized sedan it handled it fine. I don't think I would want to drive it in the dark but we had no issues. I would definitely return here in the future.

Amazing views

The property was everything it was promised to be and more. We loved the views and sitting out on the deck in the evening. The home is spacious, well laid out and there is everything you need for a stay away from home. Robin and Bill were so helpful and welcoming.

Wonderful home base off the beaten path

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home as our home base exploring local State and National Parks. it had everything we needed to prepare meals, enjoy quiet mornings, walks around the property, family game night and so much more. Robin's communication and personalized touches made this our favorite VRBO stay yet. The driveway also had brand new asphalt poured, so no issues with the driveway that others had mentioned before, but it is steep. Keep your eyes peeled on the way up and down the local roads for all kinds of animals!

Loved This Mansion Cabin!

That’s what we called it before we even arrived and it was even better than we expected! Sometimes pictures aren’t accurate but in this case the real thing was even better than the pictures! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed our time there immensely! Robin was a great host, very communicative from the booking through the end of our stay. She was kind enough to have a bottle of wine and some fresh flowers for us when we arrived and the evaporative cooler on! We will definitely stay again when back in the Redding area. The mansion cabin was close to all the places we visited. Highly recommended! Just want to share a couple of things: Zogg Mine Road is a one-lane paved road with lots of blind corners. Be very cautious. Also, the last part of the driveway to the mansion cabin is paved but very steep. If you have the capability to put your auto transmission in a lower gear that will help a lot. For this location, it was worth it. Hopefully this extra information is helpful.

Vacation far from the busy hustle

A great remote property with an interesting history (Check out the "Burning Bears Fall From the Sky" book in the bookcase upstairs). A wonderful view out over the enter southern valley and very quiet. The road to the property is a long, curvy mostly single lane one. And Google maps will tell you that you've arrived and to turn left off the mountain before you actually reach the driveway. So be careful and keep going just a little bit further. We hiked around the property (be aware of poison oak) and had a great time escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks!

Wonderful getaway

Robin’s place was absolutely wonderful. It was a wonderful place to get away to. Secluded, private, and beautiful. The cabin is spacious and extremely comfortable and Robin left us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. Would love to go back when it is not pouring rain!

Better than expected!

This home is BEAUTIFUL! The view is something else! And the hosts, they really make it perfect for the stay. If you like the outdoors, and looking to escape the city vibe, you can trust that this home won’t disappoint. We loved our stay. FYI…You will likely need 4 wheel drive to climb very steep driveways if you go when snowing.

Beautiful and secluded

The cabin was well furnished and beautifully decorated It was a long long drive to Redding but the area was beautiful. Robin was very helpful. The only thing I would change is the last 1/2 mile is tough on cars and needs to be redone. Also it would be better to have some window coverings. Even though it's secluded when traveling with friends it's awkward to have wide open windows in the bathrooms with no way to cover them. Made people not want to walk around outside due to privacy.

Beautiful Escape

The hostess was so welcoming leaving a bottle of wine for our enjoyment. She was always available and open to answer any questions, the home is very clean and wonderfully decorated. It has everything you need in the kitchen. A quiet serene location with a beautiful view. The deck was lovely to enjoy our morning coffee on. Makes for a perfect getaway. Also not far from the lake or town if you want to explore the area. This property is on our list to visit again.

Outstanding Stay

This property exceeded our expectations. The property manager was always in communication with us and it made it feel like if any issues arose, they would be there to address it. The property was clean, furnished, and had all the amenities needed (i.e. plates, silver ware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices, and more). There was extra toilet paper, towels, bedding, and more which may seem small, but the small things really went a long way. The property also had kayaks, including inflatable ones which worked out perfect since we had an SUV with no racks/rope. The property is tucked away and was quiet. We had a great stay!

Beautiful location to relax and enjoy family time!

We had a wonderful stay with my husband's family visiting from Germany. It was super nice to have ample space to socialize, enjoy the peace and quiet at this house and so much more. This rental is one of the best stocked places we have ever stayed at, thank you Robin for everything! We plan to return again :)

Lovely Secluded Property

This property is an amazing home-away-from-home private retreat. The house is very clean and well maintained with so many amenities! Once you settle in you may not want to leave. Beautiful kitchen and a deck with a BBQ. Loved the many windows and skylights. The house has two bedrooms with two full baths upstairs and a powder room on the first floor. We would definitely recommend.

Great quiet place to unwind and be away from the city

the hostess Robin was very responsive and the place was very clean and nice. the location is not close to shopping or restaurants but great for us since we were tryin to get away from the crazy city. the hostess Robin and her husband were super nice and tentive. we had fun and will be back soon!
