The room was comfortable and spacious, but the hallway was very loud at night. It's incredibly close to Hunter Mountain. We enjoyed dinner in the Tavern. Would definitely stay here again!

On our trip to the Catskills we stayed at two places and this one far exceeded our expectation given its price. The views are fantastic no matter if you pay for the mountain-side view. However, the mountain-side view does give you access to the “backyard” from your room so you can just go stargazing or play the games they have or even sit by the bonfire. The lobby area is fantastic and so cozy with books and games. My partner and I kept playing battleship and there wasn’t really anyone else there, but even if there was it’s big enough to accommodate. As for dining, the lodge itself has dining Thursday-Saturday if I’m correct and a bar. The food/drinks are expensive and ok but that seems to be the theme in that area. There is also another lodge that has a $$ restaurant right in front of the lodge. You could theoretically walk there but the “highway” is between the two. Oh and the breakfast is fantastic! It’s bagels, pastries, fruits and cereal but they’re all good quality and the view you get with your dining is phenomenal. I recommend sitting in the corner table next to the tall window and the fireplace just for the cozy feel and the views.

The decor was very stylish and the hotel had nice touches like available coffee and lawn games. Staff was professional and room was spacious and comfortable. I liked having a mini fridge and microwave. The bathoom door situation is a small problem. It is hard to close the door while using toilet. The coffee quality was also inconsistent. One day it was great and one day it wasn't. In all however a good place id stay at again.

I wanted to love this place but didn't. I think we were the wrong demographic (retired seniors) as i believe this would appeal more to younger, more social crowd. Our room, advertised as king mountain view indeed had a living area and a king bed up in a loft. It was nicely maintained. But the windows were dirty so the view ( which should have been magnificent!) was obscured. Also we were there on a Tuesday night in late October (leaf peeping) and discovered the onsite restaurant was closed Monday & Tuesday. Poor research on our part but noting in case others are thinking of coming early in the week.
