The Kozy North was a really nice hotel and I can see the potential for it to be great. They had a notice that they were going through renovations but it would have been nice to know before booking. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet. Cons: -The gym's equipment was outdated and there was no working water, no wipes to clean machines, the 10lb medicine ball was broken. -The breakfast was pretty much all carbs so if you want something well rounded definitely have to go elsewhere. It was nice that it was complimentary during renovations but would not pay 10 dollars once its no longer free -The pool was being renovated (again wish i knew sooner) -My room had a broken fridge. I reported it at the beginning of my trip to two different staff and no one came to my room. I was irritated that i had to eat out multiple times because I couldnt keep my food cold. When i checked out and mentioned it never got fixed they apologized but the damage was already done so i let it go. Life's too short. Im glad i booked at comfort inn for the last day of my trip because i was able to save a little money on food since they had a working fridge. Overall with a few upgrades this hotel will be great. Wishing you the best as you transition and hoping the upgrades make this the Houston spot for travelers.
