There were numerous maintenance issues in the room - broken faucetS (plural), shower door did not close, towel hook was missing, fridge did not work, issues with the TV. Bathroom was DIRTY. Toilet had not been cleaned. There was mold in the shower. We booked for 3 people (and were charged for 3 people) but we were only provided with TWO (2) towels, 2 glasses, 2 mugs, etc… The hotel was understaffed. Took 20 minutes to reach the reception! ALL of this should have been dealt with PRIOR to check-in.

I missed my flight from T5 and booked the Sofitel at LHR. I was expecting a pretty standard airport hotel - but the Sofitel was outstanding. Extremely clean and comfortable room, with Balmain products in the bathroom, bathrobe and coffee tray with tea and biscuits. A really elevated experience that turned a disappointing day (missing my flight) into something memorable. Would definitely recommend!
