The stay was fine, but on the morning of our checkout we discovered that someone had attempted to steal our vehicle. Its ironic because the parking lot is lit up very bright and there are cameras everywhere. The staff was helpful when we reported it. I would suggest they get physical securtiy on property at night.

Negatives - Too much surrounding noise from bus terminal next door; above room occupants walking heavily all hours of the night; kids running the hall. Breakfast was horrible, awful tasting. Too small of area, out of control kids. Worst of all, with outside cameras - family member's vehicle was broken into. Will definitely not recommend this hotel for another stay.

Our vehicle was broken into. They were trying to steal the vehicle but must of gotten disrupted bc the screwdriver was on the floor board under the steering column. All though the entire parking lot is full of cameras this still happened.

Staff was courteous & helpful. But the noise from the room above was ridiculously loud, just people walking. It sounded like they were walking on formica in metal tap shoes or cleats. Every step. Otherwise, it was fine, though the neighborhood seemed very industrial, and far from restaurants and such. Guess that's why it was affordable. The gym was more than adequate.

Hotel was clean, room and bed were clean, towels were clean. Room comes with a full refrigerator and microwave, sink, plates, glasses & eating utensils. Decent amount of parking but you’re charged $5 per night. Breakfast was okay; not many options but still good. Didn’t understand the first light switches upon entering the room. Hard to explain, but they control the restroom and room entry lighting but also won’t turn anything on if they’re both flipped in a certain position? Like I said, hard to explain, just have to try it out for yourself. Not a big issue, just a little different than what I’m used to. The area this hotel is located at is both decent and maybe a little questionable. Surrounding area doesn’t look the nicest, but it offers very quick and easy freeway/highway access. Across the street is a plaza with a Walmart and other small miscellaneous stores. The plaza itself looked a little dirty with a couple homeless people wandering, but not the worst I’ve seen by any means. Behind the hotel is a bus transit yard. My room had a view of the buses service bays and downtown Dallas skyline. My list of priorities when booking a stay are cleanliness, price, and proximity/area in that order. This hotel met those requirements exactly. I never once felt unsafe by the way. I would stay here again and do recommend this hotel.

Sleepless Nights at the Home2 Suites in East Dalla

The hotel is new but you can hear the occupants in the room above you walking. We thought the room above us was under construction. Also, you can hear people in the hall as if they were in the room with you. We could barely hear the occupants in the rooms beside us. This was the worse 2 nights of no sleep because of the thin celings and floor structure. I have never been in Hilton and not been able to sleep due to the noise. It was not the guest above us, it simply is the building structure. We need to go home now and get some sleep.
