"This pricey cottage is tucked away in an enclave off 44/55. We did not hear the highway. The rooms were very clean and had what we needed for our short stay (we had emergency at home, so stayed 1 night only). The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of closet space. We did not use the kitchen, except fridge.We could not cancel in the last few days when our home was hit by a storm and serious damage. Access to the house was tricky. Our cell phones did not work near the rear exit to click onto access code link to get in! The access code did not work in the back where we parked. We did not have the access code earlier. In front of the house my husband got his cell to open the link. Getting access coded before arrival would make life easier.The cottage has no TV, which my husband would have enjoyed to relax after a long 2.5 hr. drive. The house is high tech (I am sure the young adults would love)—main door access code, AC/heat is by remote on wall. But for us older folks, the tech light switch in bathroom was a bit annoying. I prefer a simple old fashioned on/off switch.I dont like having an electrical cord and power pack running along the wall behind my mattress - no headboard. It felt somewhat unsafe. The battery operated candles in main bedroom and the living room lights were not easy to shut off. I had to power off multiple candle batteries by hand as I cannot sleep with flickering candles or light in my bedroom. It is pricey for Kerhonkson area."
