The holiday home 'Haus Vor Dem Schöneberger Tor' is located on the edge of Hofgeismar’s historic old town, characterized by half-timbered houses, right next to the old city wall—central yet quiet. Built in 1923 in the traditional style, this detached house features a garden with fruit trees at the back. Facing the Schöneberger Tor, a front garden extends to the stone wall with a pergola at the corner. It’s an ideal starting point for exploring the fairytale town, the nearby Reinhardswald forest, or for day trips to Kassel (about 25 km away), where you can visit attractions like Wilhelmshöhe Palace and the Grimm Museum.
The bright, sunlit house is located in the geographical center of Germany. It offers space for several families, including those with children, making it perfect for family or friends’ gatherings in a beautiful, hilly landscape with fields, forests, and river valleys. Shops, delicatessens, and a large supermarket are within walking distance in the old town. Please note that groups solely for parties (e.g., bachelor parties) are not permitted.
Parking is available directly in front of the house. There is a cellar for storing bicycles. The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and smoke detectors. The built-in oven and dishwasher are standard size (60 cm wide). The barbecue is located in the garage. A guestbook with further information can be found on the sideboard in the dining room.
