Our whole family loved our wintery stay at Altitude Adjustment. The host thought of so many little details to help this be a comfortable home away from home. The bedrooms are cozy, the kitchen had everything you need to cook, and the views are so peaceful and beautiful. We loved the collection of vintage toys, the bathroom heater (!!), the large “mudroom”, and the decor. We will be back!

Great vacay

We really enjoyed our stay there in Highlands and our vrbo was perfect!! Well appointed and great location, not too far from town but not too close so you appreciated being in the mountains. We went ziplining and played a par 3 course, great hiking and wonderful restaurants! We will be back!!

A trip of a lifetime

A vacation house that feels like a home! From the unbelievable view to the impeccable decor, it was a win from the moment we arrived. Our grandchildren loved the rustic and varied toys, the magical treehouse and the fire pit where we had smores. Our adult children have stated it was one of the best of our family trips and we have stayed around the world. We intend to return!

Cute cabin for a group

We had 5 moms and 5 teenaged daughters and the cabin was perfect- plenty of space and great layout. The driveway is difficult (covered in wet leaves upon arrival- cars without 4wheel drive were slipping). A neighbor loaned us a leaf blower on day 2 and that helped a lot. Cabin was 10/10, getting to it (roads and driveway) was 3/10.

Lovely Home

We truly enjoyed our stay. The location is close to town and has beautiful views. The house was very charming with a nice mix of mountain character and new amenities. It’s a great layout for inter generational families. The ground floor level has its own mini kitchen and is very well appointed. Very well stocked. We would absolutely stay again. To note- you must be able to climb stairs to access the main floor of this home. There is a ground floor entrance but to get to the main level you would need to climb the staircase.

We had a great time. House is well appointed and view is beautiful! House isn’t far off main rd and very close to town. But if you’re afraid of narrow, winding roads, be advised. Staff at rental agency was very responsive. The only thing I would recommend is for owners not to ask guests to wash their towels before checking out at 10am. It’s very inconvenient and I’ve never been asked to do that before at any other property. Makes me wary if the towels are really cleaned and sanitized well. Also it makes me nervous to leave the dryer running when no one is there. Seems risky for fire.

Family revived!

We always love our time in Highlands as a family; and the property where we stay always makes the difference when it's one of Kristy's properties. The home was perfect - a space to spread out, cook, enjoy morning coffee or evening wine with a perfect view. The game table was perfect for late night Monopoly and each bedroom warm, clean, comfortable and inviting. We definitely left the mountains with an adjustment and will return often to this perfect family house. Thank you so much, Kristy, for thinking of everything.

Beautiful views and well appointed cabin for a great mountain experience.

Truly an Altitude and Attitude Adjustment when you stay at this beautiful and well appointed cabin. You certainly can relax and put down the cares of the past to enjoy the clean air and views from a high atop this mountain find. Our entire family spent a week here for Thanksgiving and had plenty of room to not feel cramped. Whether you want to play games, catch on reading or go for walks and hikes you can do it here. Only a few minutes from downtown to eat and shop as much as you want. The final highlight was going to Grandby Tree Farm to pick out our Christmas trees individually cut for all of us. Would highly recommend Elevation Properties as we have nearly stayed at all of them. Well worth it for the discerning traveler. Larry K

Mountain memories

House was very livable and charming. Clean and nicely appointed with both furnishings, decorative touches and "creature comforts." We were so glad that there were 2 nice decks for sitting outside and enjoying the cool weather. And a lovely view of the mountains as a bonus! The children loved the little nook under the stairs. It was great to have an upper & lower sitting area both with TV's. Property manager communicated promptly to answer questions. We enjoyed staying there!

Beautiful views and clean, cozy cabin

The view from the deck is stunning. The upstairs is clean, spacious, and the decor creates a welcoming feel. The downstairs is functional and a good place to sleep, but the upstairs is the real winner. It would be a great place for a family with lots of kids or grandkids. A quick drive from downtown.

Perfect Getaway

We just enjoyed the most pleasurable weekend at this property. It was perfectly furnished and even had quality shampoos and tissues for our use. It is conveniently located to everything you could ever want to do in the Highlands. We will certainly be back to this quaint town and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again!

Fall Family Birthday Celebration!

Altitude Adjustment was the perfect place to celebrate my husband's 69th birthday with our three sons and wives and we had a wonderful time! Everything was just as described and we enjoyed the huge decks to grill out as well as hike the Highlands. The beds were all extremely comfortable with soft sheets and warm blankets! The grandchildren adored the playhouse and the indoor play area, while the adults enjoyed being together with a warm fire. The kitchen was the perfect size for breakfasts (we enjoyed Highlands for lunch and a couple of dinners) and all appliances were up to date and worked well. Both the internet and the tv also performed splendidly, and we even had great cell service. All in all, we were glad to go and sad to leave this beautiful mountain home!
