Running out of paper towels was the worry thing that happened here 🤣 everything was perfect, the house is beautiful, the lake is gorgeous and Maggie is a gem. Sad to have to leave, can’t wait to visit again

We enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The beachfront access to the lake was the real selling point for our senior dog to enjoy swimming in the lake. The two large bedrooms and beds were great and the kitchen updates were appreciated. Hope the owners continue to make additional updates but it worked perfectly for our needs.

Perfect for a little Thanksgiving getaway

Booked this specifically to accommodate my mother-in-law who has mobility issues. A few small steps to get inside, but once there she was able to spend her time with us without worrying about getting around. Beautiful views of the lake to be had from inside the comfy living room and bedrooms. Had everything we needed to cook dinners. Could definitely see this being a great spot in warmer weather, but it was pretty great during cold and gloomy weather too.

Perfect for us

The house was rustic but well-maintained. Outdoor spaces perfect with nice landscaping. Friendly neighbors in quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the dock and beach every day! Would definitely stay here again. Recommend AC control instructions and replacing moldy shower curtain and liner.

Great lake house!

Spent 5 days and had a blast! Great location on land and water. The dock and beach are perfect. Enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning and s'mores and hot dogs over the fire pit at night. Such a quiet and relaxing cove. Can't wait to return! Highly recommend for a family lake vacation.

Needs some TLC

Great location but the house needs updating. Wooden walkway from parking area needs replacing, very dangerous if mobility impaired. Loft needs more fans to circulate the air so it doesn’t get so warm. Loft also needs better (longer) curtains to isolate it from the light of the living room. Water leaked into house above sliding glass door in dining area and dryer broke (owner replaced dryer). Light switches and ceiling fan controls are questionable. Very basic house that will be nice once repairs are done.

Wonderful family vacation!!!

As I have learned, actual sandy beachfront is rare at Lake Gaston. That was a huge selling point for us. It's nice to enter the water from the edge. It's also nice to enter and exit a kayak the same way. The house is located in Pea Hill Creek, just a little bit up from River Road and the main part of the lake. That made for less boat traffic, so good swimming and peace and quiet. Overall, a great rental and we expect to return.

Great week at the lake

Great location with excellent water for boating and / or swimming. There is an uphill walk returning to the home from the dock but it would be manageable for most.

A+ A-Frame!

We had a fantastic time; 6 people and one dog. The house is as shown; if not better. The bedrooms were big and the loft space gave the kids plenty of room. The selling feature, above all, is the lake (obviously). The views from the deck (comes with a great retractable awning) were great and the beach/boat house were perfect. There's no ladder off the dock, but the beach is wider than it looks and very easily accessed. The cove is comfy but gives you access to other areas to take the kayaks. The kitchen has all you need, the laundry works well, and the neighborhood is pretty good for walking. The occasional pickup may try to run you over but such is life as a pedestrian! The whole group agreed that we'd happily revisit this house and make it our official Lake Gaston vacation house.

Great weekend on the lake!

My family and I enjoyed our time in this lovely house on the lake. The beach area was very nice and we were able to swim right from there. The kayaks and paddle board were a great addition!
