Often stay here before/after a long hall flight Only use this hotel because of the superb location & being walkable from terminal 5 Rooms are nice but room allocated sometimes has not been great for us (eg next to the lift so noisy, last stay a few weeks ago we were looking out at an internal wall ( even though we booked a category above what we would normally book This time we had a room on 3rd Floor, again booked a superior room, when we got into the room it had a very strong chemical smell, it smelt like it was trying to hide a tobacco smell, I called reception & they immediately changed us to another room category & a really nice helpful guy from concierge arrived to help us move our luggage Room was comfortable & bed was very comfortable, we slept well One change that would be helpful would be to have usb sockets by the bed, at the moment you charge your phone at the other side of the room It was a good stay

The standard room in which I stayed (2330) was getting shabby. Unlike other rooms and many other stays, this room had damage to the furniture. The bathroom fixtures were dirty. The US electric socket didn't work reliably. The air conditioning did not work reliably. I used to prefer Sofitel at LHR. Not any more.
