Hemelum: Holiday house “BUITENHUIS” suitable for 4-6 people.

Since winter 2021 the house is equipped with a large hottub (Additional charge for usage and wood; not for high season to respect quiet atmosphere)

The place Hemelum lies on the Morra, one of the Frisian lakes and is situated in a straight line between the IJsselmeer (lake) and the forests of Gaasterland. This spacious holiday home is located on very pleasant driving and swimming water with its own anchorage and a garden with a beautiful terrace right on the water.

This holiday home is suitable for 4 people (or family up to 6) and has a living room, a modern kitchen (2013), 2 bedrooms on the 1st Floor and 1 small bedroom upstairs.

There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling in the area through the slightly hilly landscape of Gaasterland or along the many beautiful lakes. Forests, open fields, IJsselmeer coast and cities like Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen and Workum offer enough entertainment and relaxation nearby. In the area you can rent bicycles or boats to discover Friesland from land and water. You can also have fun in the area on the golf course, in the riding school or with typical Frisian sports such as Fierljeppen or Skûtsjesilen. On the IJsselmeer coast there are different sandy beaches where you can have a wonderful time with the children on a nice summer day. There is a nice large children's playground in the neighboring village of Rijs.

Ruhig, einfach und zweckmäßig
Schön gelegene Ferienhaushälfte in ruhiger Umgebung, mit schönem Garten und Steg zum Kanal. Außenbereich könnte etwas gepflegter sein! (Gr. Terrakotta Blumentopf mit ausgefranstem Rand - stand gefährlich frei herum, Schnittverletzung am Bein - erlebt). Haus geeignet für 4 Personen max. Bei uns ist der obere Waschbeckenabfluss nicht gut abgelaufen, nach etwas „Rohrfrei“ dann ganz ok. Der Kamin war leider innen nicht sauber, und auch rundherum verdreckt - nochmals Staubsaugen! Haus ist aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet 👍 und die Übergabe war unkompliziert, Internetverbindung seeeehr schwach. Da wir Glück mit dem Wetter hatten war es sehr erholsam an der frischen Luft und mit der Ruhe. Umgebung von Hemelum ist auch sehr schön.

Wir sind sehr enttäuscht nach drei Tagen wieder abgereist. Die Unterkunft war sehr schmutzig, überall waren Schmutz, Staub und Haare. Im Badezimmer sowie in der Kaffeemaschine war noch Müll vom Vormieter, an der Toilette sowie am Heizkörper im Bad waren Urinflecken. Es war furchtbar. Zum Glück nehme ich immer Desinfektionsmittel und Putzzeug mit! Der Toaster sowie die Nachttischlampe waren defekt. Im Schlafzimmer der Kinder war die Wandlampe aus der Wand gerissen und die nackten Kabel waren zu sehen! Sehr gefährlich!! Im Schlafzimmer war die Schranktür aus der Halterung gebrochen . Das obere Geschoss ist sehr unliebsam eingerichtet und schmutzig. Tote Insekten überall, Blutflecken an den Wänden . Es ist sparsam und praktisch und keinesfalls gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Matratzen sind allerdings in Ordnung. Im Untergeschoss ist ein Dunkel-WC ohne Lüftung. Vom Style erinnert es an ein Krankenhausbad aus den 70ern. Küche und Wohnbereich waren zwar schmutzig, aber befriedigend eingerichtet. Überall waren dicke Spinnenweben, die Fenster sehr dreckig. Der Garten war ungepflegt, hohes Gras, Unkraut, kaputte Gartenmöbel und ein alter, getragener Bikini vom Vormieter. Der Grill stand in einer Dreckecke mit Müll und alten Laub. Er war verrostet und schmutzig. Die Terrasse am Wasser ist verwahrlost und teilweise sind die Holzplanken lose, was uns sehr gefährlich erscheint . Für Bootsbesitzer mag es schön sein, da man direkt von dem Kanal am Grundstück losschippern könnte.

Miete mit Segelteam und Coach
Das Haus ist gut gelegen. Zwei Betten befinden sich im Dachstock, welcher sehr klein ist. Leider auf der Ausschreibung nicht ersichtlich. Die Zimmereinteilung war für unsere Bedürfnisse ungeeignet. Alles ist in die Jahre gekommen und es wird nicht viel gemacht. Der Rasen war und wurde nicht gemäht. Er war sehr hoch und ungepflegt. Finde das müsste gemacht werden bevor Mieter kommen. Im Bad hat es keine Steckdose. Also Haare müssen irgendwo ohne Spiegel getrocknet werden und elektrisches Rasieren geht demnach auch nicht. Der Preis ist zu hoch für die Leistung.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus für Familien
Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in Hemelum, die Doppelhaushälfte ist für 4 Erwachsene, Kind und Hund groß genug. Das Haus ist aber eher ein Ziel für den Frühling oder Sommer, wir waren über Silvester dort und mussten intensiv heizen. Der offne Kamin ist sehr hübsch hat es aber leider nicht geschafft den großen Wohnraum zu heizen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, es ist alles da was man braucht. Der Bootssteg im Garten hat uns sehr gefallen und ist im Sommer bestimmt großartig um dort zu frühstücken.

Ruhiger Ferienhausbereich mit Anlegersteg
Dieses Objekt ist eine Doppelhaushälfte, der Garten recht ungepflegt, aber i. O. die Innenausstattung war auch okay, allerdings nicht gut beschrieben... CD-Anlage war defekt... Der Fernseher im kleinsten Format, der Fenstermückenschutz defekt:-( und einiges mehr... sehr gefreut hatten wir uns über die Tennisschläger, hatten unsere leider vergessen... der Bootsanleger ist natürlich großartig zum täglichen Wasserbedarf... die Umgebung ist wirklich toll, viele kleine Orte, sehr schön gelegen... Amsterdam war auch zu erreichen... Die deutschen Nachbarn waren sehr freundlich und für eine Woche findet man ausreichend Erholung. Ein bissel liebevolle Pflege würde dem Objekt allerdings ganz gut tun, zumal die Zusatz-Betten unterm Dach zumindest bei den sommerlichen Temperaturen kaum nutzbar sein werden... Trotzdem hatten wir eine sehr schöne Woche an der Morra!

Gutes Haus in guter Lage.
Grundsätzlich ein schönes Haus, was zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber wunderbar ruhig gelegen ist. Wir waren ggf die ersten in der Saison die den Außenbereich genutzt haben. Der war noch im Winterschlaf. Gastgeber war sehr gut und gut erreichbar.

Gesamteindruck und Zustand sind Gut
Doppelhaushälfte direkt am Wasser mit eigenem Anleger, ideal für Leute mit eigenem Boot oder die sich an der Segelschule eins leihen wollen. Für Kinder sehr gut da direkt eine Segelschule vor Ort ist. HotTub ist eine Bereicherung. Manche Dinge sind schon in die Jahre gekommen.
