Our check-in experience was rather terrible. Expedia apparently messed up our reservation and one of the rooms we booked was unavailable - the hotel was also fully booked so this was a problem. While Guy, the manager of the property, was fabulous and truly did his best to make our group comfortable and enjoy our stay, the woman at the front desk was inadequate. Without Guy's direct supervision, she was either unable or unwilling to work with us regarding our stay. We had to pay a higher premium than what we booked AND we ended up having to put two grown women on a pullout couch in our bedroom as our original reserved room was not available the final night. The final issue we had was that the hostel next door was blaring music until 3AM or 4AM at times. It was VERY difficult to fall/stay asleep. Overall our stay was fine, just severely disappointed with the service specifically from the woman at the front desk.

Love the aesthetics, the vibes and where is located. Lacked maintenance and the pool was dirty and foggy during mid day. Customer service could’ve been a little better. Also all the seat cushions were very dirty. Better maintenance and cleanliness wouldve put it at 4-5 stars

Staff was super nice. The headboard of the bed was black and was supposed to be white. Very dirty. Decorative pillows were also dirty.Shower goes on by itself in the middle of the night.

Everything was amazing. The reviews for this hotel were very mixed, however our experience was amazing and have no idea why anyone would say anything negative. Our room (#8) was beautiful, the esthetic of the pool was georgeous, the view of Lake Atitlan (feet away) was breathtaking, the staff was kind, friendly (miri and juan..everyone) and everyone always had a smile on their face. The food was great👌. 10/10 i would definitely return and would recommend!

A cute place but definitely over priced. The shower clearly had previous water damage and it bubbled when you stood in it and leaked all over after showering. Beds are hard and there is no AC. The staff were extremely nice and helpful though. Breakfast and coffee every morning were very good.

Hostel Thumbs Down

We had a two night stay. We had no electricity or water. The electricity was flickering. The few minutes the water came on it did not get hot. Our first night was in the hostel on the top bunk. It was awful! The second night we were able to upgrade to a king size bed room. It was better but still no hot water. Needless to say, no shower. The property is pretty to take pictures. Within walking distance to restaurants. Tuk Tuk transportation available. Breakfast was okay.

Awesome hotel!

Super cute tropical oasis with amazing view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Nice comfortable rooms with patios and cute pool. A short easy walk from the center of town, in a quieter spot. Incredibly friendly and accomodating. Can't recommend enough. Hope to be back soon.

Extremely overpriced party hotel

First of all this is a hostal with dorms as well as rooms and it's a party hotel. No one mentioned this! There's loud music until 3am every night and then the music starts again at 8am. If you are in a suite you'll be right near the speakers so won't get any sleep. Grounds are nice. Rooms are tired. Bed is hard. No bugs, unless it rains then spiders and beetles come under the door as nothing seals properly. Whatever you ask the hotel staff for, it's a no. Food is nice. Rooms are cold (I was there Dec/Jan) and had to ask for more blankets. Cleaning is poor. It's extremely overpriced and not peaceful

Overpriced and service was mediocre

At the price the hotel is going for there is a lot left to be desired. Overall, the rooms could be cleaner and more modernized. Service was also an issue I had encountered, especially considering that they mixed up the dates of my stay. Initially they had offered me a free night in person but upon checking out, with a different manager on site, proceeded to charge me for their mistake. When I told them I was offered a free night otherwise would’ve not stayed the extra night (due their error) the on site manager laughed. Additionally there were lots of staff starring at me during my stay with not the greatest hospitality. At times felt very white lotus-y with even what I suspect an escort approaching me. If costs were lower, and service was better I’d recommend. Food was good overall though.
